Reviews for "Gekisen card game"

Maganic Improvement

There's no doubt in my mind that you drew inspiration in at least some part from Maganic. I just went back and played through as much of it as I could (after getting to Yellow Belt in this game) and I can without question say that this is a great improvement over it. This takes much more strategy and I hope you try to make this one better in some way. Here are a few suggestions:
- Better Explanation of the Rules
- Unlockable Cards
- Selectable Characters
- More Common Tournaments (then again, I'm only a Yellow Belt)
- Deck Design?

I give this one a 4/5

It's an okay game.

I'd like a better explanation of the game, however. For instance, I do not know how to search for a tournament. Is it something that randomly happens to me after I fight a battle, or do I have to do something special? Furthermore, I don't know how to get powerups. Perhaps it is because I have never played a tournament, but I'd like to be able to get the powerups that are mentioned in the game. Not the in-level powerups, but the ones that affect the game in the long run.

Battle Realms

You used some of the icons from that game for you game.
(Battle Realms is a PC game for those who didn't know)

Card games are unique.

This game bears a striking resemblance to Maganic Wars which was made several years ago. However given the limits of making card games in Flash, this is bound to happen.

Very well done overall, but could use more damage cards because the game becomes just a stalemate for dozens of turns often.

Why can't I turn off the sound ><

I'm actually addicted to this game. The problem is I can never get past a blue belt no matter how hard I try... Okay enough of my problems. The gameplay is solid (even though I swear the computer is cheating) the only problem I have with it is that you don't have the option of turning the music off. Also, it would be awsome of the training actually do somthing like increase your health (which would have been nice). I mean your always stuck at 40hp while your opponent has like 75hp (sure the +5 hp card shows up from time to time but only when you dont need them). But besides those 3 problems I think this game is pretty solid.
