great concept
teh game was jus too slow though
breakout needs to be hectic adn fast paced, this one was jus slow and boring
also the ball control was weird, i noticed depending on where it hit the paddle, it would go a certain direction, which was akward and hard
i like how the bricks flew off and so forth, but it woudl be funner had the game moved faster....

It's not that this was really a bad game, it's just that this has been done so many times and most of the other versions are better. The only idea that I saw in your game that I found original about it was the falling blocks you can hit as well.
Unfortunately, this was also a bit annoying. I frequently had the problem with the ball hitting one of the falling blocks and sliding up the screen almost horizontally. It caused the game to move really really slowly and me to loose interest faster.
You did an out standing job creating this flash game submission, however, the concept was just too overdone. Develope an original game and I'm sure it will be really good. You seem to have a lot of talent and I hope to see more work from you in the future.
It was alright
At first, I was decently impressed that you created this game. It would take some good skill to actionscript this well. Congrats on that. Unfortunately I wish you made a different kind of game, instead of a recreation of something already done. If you were more original, I would have been a lot more impressed.
Seeing as how you have some good actionscript skills, make another game that is your own, and submit it to newgrounds. It will appeal to many more people. Good luck, whatever you decide to do.

I thought at first .. just another break out. Then I noted you could double break the blocks, that was nifty. Also the ball made effects when striking the walls. Later I found why there was the number of blocks left. Hidden blocks. Really made for longer play and keeping an eye on what is going on.
Not bad. Perhaps beef up the effects to satisfy many players need for pretty pictures and flashy effects.
Not a bad game at all. Little bit of spit polish will go a long way. O yea, more music please.
great game
I love these type of games and the variation in this particular game made it fresh and original. Don't worry about the powerup thing. This is just plain jane skill and fun. I like it very much.
