A fantastic rendition of a classic genre
This is an amazing game. The amount of attention to detail in here is not something you see coming through the portal every day.
You've taken the genre of the space shooter (a la Galaga) and added most of the modern features gamers are now used to: weapon upgrades, bosses, save feature, a store, and even (the defining feature for me) a story mode!
The name of the game obviously comes from the art style choice. The result is a bit bizarre (in a good way!) and manages to convey the feeling of retrogaming pretty well. All enemies have their own behavior and some force you to think a little ahead when buying weapons.
Sound is a little repetitive, but this goes well with the game style. I would have also made the mouse button an alternative fire button - freeing up the keyboard for movement (some keyboards, like mine, have a hardware limitation on how many keys you can press at once). Minor things really... I have to look far to find any issue with this submission!
Verdict, two very enthusiastic thumbs up, and a 5 from me!
Awesome
This game rocks. I've been playing it for an hour, and I didn't get bored of it. I'd play more, but I'm too tired. I'm glad the save feature is there. This should be front page and higher rated, its a GREAT game. The only problems I see with it is that the audio does get a bit repetitive, but with soooo much there, its hard to have 20+ different songs. Keep up the EXCELLENT work.
Anyone who doesn't give this game straight 10's is
on crack. There is sooo much to do and it is a blast to play. There are so many weapons, and enemies and levels. The gameplay is addicting and doesn't get tiresome even after hours of gameplay. Why the hell this doesn't have a score well over 4 is beyond me. So much effort went in to this and Glaiel, it finally has paid off. I hope you stick to doing more game like this, rather than quick games that take a few days to make. Yeah it takes forever, but it feels a lot more accomplishing when you're done. I really love this game, keep it up!

When it was under judgment easy and hard modes didn''t work, and people votes lower, but I fixed that now, and it's score continues to rise. But hey, I have a whole nother day for it's score to rise for a portal award.
