Reviews for "Len - ep. 1 - part 2/2"

...k

This ended too quickly just like the first...but I guess that doesn't really matter. What does matter is that the only GOOD part about this is the graphics. Not much action or story. However, I am looking forward to more.

RonaldRaven responds:

it does end at a pretty abnormal place. that mostly happened because we ran out of time before we could finish (it was a school project), so we slapped a "to be continued" on there and cut to the credits. we had a big action scene planned, but I guess we got too caught up in "the setup" part of the story. it was our first flash and we sort of lost the big picture somewhere along the way. I definitely didn't think it would take so long to animate something. after we watched the finished product, we were amazed that it took us 80+ hours to make such a short movie where almost nothing happened. hopefully we'll learn from the mistake and future work will be more interesting to watch, and we won't have to worry about deadlines. I'm glad you liked the graphics though--I worked REAL hard on 'em.

A bad ending

Dude, you should have ended it with all of the droids lifting one leg up, and digging it into the ground, that would have been much more of a cliffhanger.

RonaldRaven responds:

hmm, yes, that may have been better. I knew the ending was bad in general, but perhaps making it go off with more sense of urgency would have made it more interesting. I'll try to learn from the mistake in my next project.

Good job but to short...

Com'on we dont want to see one droid get destroyed we want big explosions and massacres! Good job dude... these two parts were cool but i feel like there wasnt enough action just walking pass buildings.

RonaldRaven responds:

yeah, I know what you mean. this was sort of meant to be an intro to the character and the setting, but I agree--there probably should have been more going on. part of the reason we had to cut short was because we ran out of time (this was a school project), and couldn't animate the "big action scene" we had originally planned to do. it's amazing how much animation I did and time I spent without much actually happening on screen. well, hopefully I'll be able to learn from my mistakes. glad you liked it, though.

Fairly impressed I must say

Shame you had to bring the quality down so much because this was bloody good would have liked to see the uncompressed version seems like a nice story and you certainly have some skill I like the painted backdrops they look really nice hope to see more of this and your other work

RonaldRaven responds:

yeah, the quality seemed to be one of the major downfalls of submitting it to Newgrounds. I will probably be putting the uncompressed version, or at least a better quality version, on my website (www.nucron.com), so check back in a week or so. glad you enjoyed it and look out for what's to come.

Realy unique

Almost everything in it looks like it would be seen on T.V. not in a Flash movie. I realy like your style and graphics.

RonaldRaven responds:

thank you, we worked really hard to try to make the overall style less like the average Flash movie and have more of a professional look, but I still definitely have a lot of improving to do. I'm happy you found it woth watching.
