Reviews for "Chanter Tales 1.1"

A good start on the story.

I liked it. My main complaint is with the voices, not that I expect professional actors, but the mic used to record it was pretty scratchy.

Ghosty22 responds:

Well... That might be because I didn't select a very good sound setting in the publishing phase. I'll try to experiment with some better settings next time.

wow

the graphics were amazing. i didnt really care for the story though. the story was boring.that takes alot of the interests out

Ghosty22 responds:

Well, I wanted the action to come a bit more slowly. I really hate flashes where one guy walks up to another, and then they start fighting without saying anything or revealing anything about themselves.

I guess I thought that if he explained why he was in the wilderness and how he lived there, it would make it feel "real."

What!?

could barely hear it, but it looked okay to me.

Ghosty22 responds:

Thanks... I'll try to make the sound quality a bit better next time. At first, I chose the highest quality in the publishing phaze, but it was too big, so, for some reason, I just chose the lowest quality, without trying anything in between.

yo...

Hey man, this is Honey Man. I commented on your animation earlier and, well, you didn't take it very well. When I asked if the main character was retarded, I didn't mean you were retarded. But man, it goes so slow. It's just not worth the time man. I'm sorry if I upset you, the guy talks really slow, the story moves slow, the scrpit is not very well written, the narration was describing things the pictures did not depict at all. You're right, I should have been more specific, and I'm glad you called me on it. I will refrain from leaving comments when I'm so tired from now on. I'm sure people will like this man, I just didn't. For what you were trying to do, it just took too long and the voice acting was stale. I hope this is more thorough. Good luck with your future works.

Ghosty22 responds:

I don't think I wasn't taking it well, I was like, trying to respond with a tone similar to yours. I was just being a smartass.

I'm not so arrogant that I think everyone has to like it. Because you can never please everyone. It's scoring pretty well, so I'm not going to curl up into the fetal position and cry because a couple of people didn't like it.

The first review I have been impelled to make

I really think that the Potential was there, but only like a stillborn Fetus. The Vocals were well into the Bad (I can't imagine any Wizard sounding like a young College Student, I'm sorry). The Script sounded trite as if it were taken from bad Coffeeshop Poetry. And if Nuok is some Kind of great Wizard, why is he afraid of getting wet?

Ghosty22 responds:

Sounds like you were watching it with preconceived notions of who a wizard should be. Sorry I didn't live up to your expectations.

I never said that Nuok was a great wizard. In fact, I implied that he wasn't a very good wizard at all in the notes at the bottom of the title page.
