Reviews for "FlashTrek: Broken Mirror"

Its Ok

Goddamn what a rip off of the Enterprise episode "In the Mirror, Darkly". Because of this i only gave you a 5. This is an ok game, great graphics for a flash game but too long and boring.

vex-xiang responds:

Thanks for the kudos. It is a strategy/arcade game mostly based on building your character and empire, so it is intended to be long. But, the 'mirror' universe in Trek has been around since TOS. It was featured numerous times in DS9, and it is roughly based on the DS9 mirror universe (which would be the approximate timeline of the game). Of course as most die-hard Trekkies would tell me, there are several inconsistencies that I simply made up to bring more canon Trek into the game. Keep on trekking!

Great Graphics

But it was WAY too freakin fast and WAY too complicated.

To much to memorize.

My memory sucks, so even though I'm sure with all the good reviews you've had that in the long run it's a good game, I can't play it.

I'll still give you a four vote, though.

Too buggy

The game is awesome. But how how hard can it be to correct this build bug that keeps on stealing the more expensive stations when under construction, and cheaper ones under construction disappear seemingly at random! Come on - it robs the game of any real credibility.

Warning

An amazingly fun game, however due to glitches it becomes un-enjoyable after a time.
Some glitches include:
1. When you build a starbase they sometimes disappear after you leave the system-along with the cost you paid for it.

2. Sometimes the menus on stations blip though the entire series of ships and or stations only allowing you to purchase the 1st or 2nd choice.

3. I quit playing because I went through a wormhole generator that I did not build and it took me to another system where there were so many ships that it caused the computer to stall. I tried warping away but it just made my ships controls disappear and nothing else happened. When I restarted the game, it took me right back to where I had left off and so I have lost all my progress.

I am extremely agitated since I have been playing it for about a week and a half and have taken over a good chunk of the galaxy for the Klingon Empire, but now its all gone.

This is not really a glitch per-se however taking over planets takes an extremely long time and when the planets strength plunges to the point you can take it over, you first have to warp out of the system and back again in order to claim the planet.

This was a fun game, but a bit tedious and the glitches take away from the experience, and in my case ended it. I will never again waste so much time playing this just to lose all my progress to the glitches.

You are warned.

To the author:
This really is a wonderful game, and I did enjoy it , I hope that someday you may revise it and eliminate the glitches.
