Reviews for "The Big Fat Tutorial"

a big help

dude i've always been wondering if there was an easier way to create a zoom without tweening everything in the damn stage! and now i know! yea! thanks man.

Helbereth responds:

That was the exact reason I was originally all hyper about the camera.

By the way I used the camera throughout the tutorial. The last tutorial is actually zoomed WAY in because all the background stuff was too big to move around with it completely covering the stage.

By the way I went through like 4 or 5 different size settings. The camera permits you to change the size of the stage half way through a project... so long as the vertical and horizontal are aong the same scale.

Good.

Pretty Über for a tutorial I say =)

Helbereth responds:

I R teh ubar n00bie! w00t!

Thats pretty cool.

Didnt know anybody would make something like that.

Helbereth responds:

Neither did I...

I must be psychic...

Thanks for the review!

Wow

This was really helpful. I'm not an expert at flash, and hadn't learned how to do a lot of this stuff yet. Definately goin into my favs so as not to lose it!

Helbereth responds:

I don't think anyone's an expert at flash, really. There's all that stuff to know, y'know?

I hope you make use of this stuff, thanks for the review!

good all round.

i'm in dire need of help though.

with the scripted camera i cant do the action script bit. i do all the rest but when i paste the action script onto the 'actions' layer it comes up as text. im all like wtf over here and getting really annoyed with it. could you help me out with inserting the action script please?

other than that minor detail, a really good tutorial. i've learned loads over these past couple of days. most of which coming from your tuts. thanks again. if you could e-mail the help to me that would be fantastic!
