Reviews for "The Big Fat Tutorial"

I took a look at it

And I gotta say, pretty good tutorial. My only problem seems to be the music(I hated it) and the fact you didn't mention which flash type you have(you may have, but I missed it) so those with a different version won't have the scripted camera

Helbereth responds:

Can't please everyone on the music end. I put a stop all sounds button in every tutorial though (for people that dun like my music selection).

I mentioned my flash version during the scripted camera section... though I suppose I was a bit ambiguous about it. I have Flash MX 2004. I also mentioned that the camera uses AS 2.0.

Thanks for the honesty. I realize I can't please everyone!

that was good

great job on the tutorial, im sure lots of people can learn easily on how to work with BGs now, of course most of us still need the art skill part to actually make our flash look like yours, anyways, great job

Helbereth responds:

I started as an artist, so that was the easy part. It took me a while to get to the point where I could animate my drawings.

Thanks for the review!

Very Nice

Very nice tutorial. I know from my own somewhat difficult experiances in flash that this helps out- a lot. It's a nice job to point newbies in the right direction- and even shows a few tips & tricks to vets. Nice work on the raining effects as well.

Helbereth responds:

*responding to all these reviews is hard*

Thanks. I hope I help a lot of newbies and I hope I can help some of the vets (improving your skills is always good).

Cool

Pretty cool, good to have some guide lines for people who have no clue how to use flash.

Helbereth responds:

Guide lines? Nah. This is just useful information people can adjust to their liking. I think most everyone that opens Flash for the first time has no clue what they're doing. This should help them get over some annoying hurdles.

ouw...

ouw...reeally interesting it help me alot but the music got a little anoying >_< bwtv the rest was awsum and at the end i found that hillarious anyways good job ..

Helbereth responds:

Thanks. You should know - if it wasn't obvious already - that the music can be shut off on almost every screen (except the credits and the object viewer). As for the taste in music, most people haven't complained - especially since there's 6 songs to pick from.

In any case, thanks for the review. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by the end...it's not like there was really an end... but if it was funny, that's fine by me.
