Reviews for "Kazmo - Sinking In"

Ahhhh

Nice effect in the beginning, fades in really nicely. The airy crash makes for perfect transitions. The sharper synth could probably be turned up in the mix a little bit. The synth playing strait eigth notes sort of dominates the rest of the atmosphere of the song. Nice little interlude at the 1:30 mark. If thats a piano that comes in at two minutes, it should be made a little brighter and not so heavy on the attack. Cool reverse bass sounds that came in next.

Pretty sweet track, nothing spectacular, but it had all of the elements for a good trance song.

:D

Kazmo responds:

The sharper synth isn't the lead synth, so I'm not gonna turn it up. It's just background presence.

The straight eightnote synth is the only other synth, and I don't feel that it's the least overpowering. It may be your headphones. Do you hear the bass? :P

Yes, that's a Rolland soundfont, and I had to make it a tad strong so that it can be heard over the other synth, or else it'd sounds just like the other synth, and blend too much.

'nothing spectacular' I'll keep that in mind when I listen to other stuff on NG...

Thanks for the review.

Rolland is a nice soundfont.

I like the ambience this song gives in some spots. The piano is pretty nice but i think you could build upon that. As the song progress's it does get better with the piano. The song can tell a story and thats really what i look for when i review. Great use of percussion in this through the transitioning. I think i'm hearing some pan flutes or flutes of some sort for those hard notes. Either way buddy this sounds damn good! I'm adding this and YOU to my favorites. Keep on the music!
