Reviews for "Memory"

i don't get it

The message must have been so profound that i just didn't understand, w/e. I liked your style, but you shouldn't put the guy speaking in french, just makes things harder for those who can't understand the language. btw i'm not ractist against french, so don't get that idea in your head just because i made mention to it.

Xenosteel responds:

I'm not french so I'm not worried :P its quite a mysterious flash in a way, and I used a different style to it which makes it hard to understand at times

thanks for the review though!

It was silly

A poor attempt at making a meaningful movie. I cant see what it had to do with memory, and the movie had nothing to do with the conclusion whatsoever. The animation was so-so, but the artwork really let it down, it was like a 10 yr old trying to draw his favourite anime. Besides the whole thing being unbelievable and not making any sense, the scenes didnt blend together and stupid things like the book being as small as the mans hand were ummm... stupid :D stupid stupid stupid! An yeah dun worry ill make sure i never touch a book in an abandoned house for fear ill turn into some kind of hate filled abomination when i die - that was the message u were tryin to send out right? dun get me wrong it had some good points here an there, but the crap overshadowed anything it could of been.

Xenosteel responds:

the book was in proportion as it was more like an A5 sized one. The message you got is partly wrong too,

anyway thanks for taking your time to review

Right.

Yah, war ruined everything in a mans life so his memory lingers and seeks vengence on others, right, thanks alot "the grudge". I can see that one in the movies. What about the beggining? " I saw a house, it intrested me so I entered it", Does that make any sense at all? Does any one, including a journalist enter a house cause its intresting? No scream, no sudden pursuit from others that drove him into the house, just a curiosity, thats rediculous. I gota say tho, good job with color and expression, works very well to freak people out, your good at that. Please man if your going to make a deep film make sure it actually has the depth first, dont just throw chamber music in the backround and a french diologue in there to fake it, good luck on your furture films, and you did a preety good job.

Xenosteel responds:

1. I didn't see "the grudge" yet
2. Gustave is a 'weird' journalist, he liked the house, he got in, thats his decision.. some people do that

hmm more depth? I think the way you defined 'depth' there is much different than I did, because personally I think the movie is quite deep

anyway I thank you for the critisizm, it always helps :) and thanks for the review as well, you gave a 10 in graphics and style and I thank you for that as well

wtf?

I'm just going to assume that you understand that not many of us will understand this. I concider myself smart, but this just confused the hell out of me. Ah, the depths of the human mind will baffle me 'til the day i die.
Good job, by the way.

---A powerful concept---

Unfortunately, at the end, it breaks down into a life-lesson that (believe it or not) some people learn before the hour of their death! This also would have been more intense if the graphics had been tightened up.
