war, huh?
Let me tell you something about war as one who has seen it first-hand. War is hell on earth, but you portray it as being completly pointless, it's not.
War never happens without reason, & most of the time, it's a damn good one. War has claimed the lives of countless people in the past, but earth without war would be a terrible place. Immagine Japan with Emporrer Hirohito still in power, or Germany with Fuheror Adolf Hitler still in command & no way to stop them. Can you immagine also a world where no one died as a result ot war & everyone lived untill they were 90 or older? How many people would be having to eat dirt or even other humans simply to survive because the human race exhousted the food supply? How many people would still be living in tyrany in Iraq under Saddam Hussien were it not for military action by the US & it's 47 cooalition partners?
Because of war, people in Iraq have had their first democratic elections in 25 years & now have the ability to walk out freely into the streets without fear of being run down or say what they want without fear of having your tounge cut out. The 48-nation coalition did that, no thanks to Jaques Chiraq or Gerhard Schroeder. As for the film itself, it offers a bleak picture of what happens before, during, & after a war is started & mis-represents the objectivity of war. It's graphics & sound are incradably bad & there is no style or humor to it. So, to sum it up in two words, it sucks, But you did at least make an effort, for that you get a 1.
Nobody likes war, but war is nessessarry from time to time. I know, I have a proud history of veterans in my family & I have ancestors that fought & died in every American war. & were it not for their sacrifices, this would would be alot worse off than it is now. & to everyone who will reply with "Die Sarek, you dickface!!! WAR NEVER SOLVED ANYTHING" all I have to say is "war never solved anything, unless you count ending Slavery, Facism, Communism, Nazism, & Totalitarinism."
