Fun
Its so damn hard to understand how it work at the begining, i got myself blew up at the second attack by a single ship..
You should at least add a training mission.

It's best not to go out on your own against the enemy. If you do not have enough resources to build a large fleet or at least 1 escort, stay by your base for protection. Keep in mind however that while it protects you, you must also protect it by helping it fend off attacks. There is a lot of strategy in this game, and from other players I have heard it takes some practice.

well, i have to admit im not much of a startrek fan, but this game was very good.

This would be a pretty good game. . .
Except for the fact that the allied unites are incredible stupid, you have to constantly babysit the base so that you don't have to worry about it being destroyed. Plus, things are made even more difficult since the Romulans don't give you a chance to build up your base. Perhaps smarter allies and a difficulty feature would help things. Especially since controlling the ships isn't that easy. Heck maybe the C&C feature of clicking a unit and then clicking on the desired location would work better than the arrow keys (However, I really wouldn't care if you did this or not).
However, its nice to see a stategy based game on NG, since there aren't alot. Plus, it has some pretty good innovation even if it is based of the Star Trek universe. I'm sure this could turn out to be a really great game if you changed a few things.

and far too fast. tone it down a bit and it would be more fun.
