Reviews for "Kingfisher"

Nice work.

This is a great piece of art. The simplicity really paid off, specifically in the attention it draws to the stylish water effects around the bird. To be honest, I think the water is the main attraction in this piece.

The bird could have used a bit more work in places, though. The tail looks out of place and needed some more detail, as I'm sure you know, and it looks like the right wing is too small, especially compared to the left one.

But regardless, it's a sleek piece of work. Kudos.

Theres not a whole lot to get really.... if you are talking about the flood thing; go here: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1212067

Some of you best work.

You loose one star for those tail feathers - and more than enough said about that. As others has mentioned the real scoop in this one is that "water-breach" - or perhaps more precisely the contrast or difference in style contra the rest of the pictures. Lineart vs no lines and all that. Great work there buddy :)

Oranje boven (in de zolder, waar niemand kijkt :3)

This is without a doubt really nicely done, but it just doesn't tickle my style-bone the right way. You kind of got lazy on the tail, I think.

The simplistic water-splashes and bubbles are downright great.

J-qb responds:

I put more time and effort in the tail than in any other part of the drawing; I just couldnt get it to look right, so I decided to just go for the plain tail I have now. Thanks for the review

Great work!

I really love the water effect. You did a great job at keeping it simplistic. The only thing that bugs me is that it doesn't seem to have much motion to it. It almost feels like he just ducked his head underwater instead of divebombed into it. Those bubbles are great though.
