Reviews for "*What Have I Done? *"

beautiful...

...I tip my hat to you for creating one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.
I think of a fallen soldier who is dying and thinking back on his sad life. Everything bad that has ever happened is flashing through his mind. All the hate, the blind fury, that caused him to join the fight. He knew he would lose in the end, but this is a fight he has to fight despite the fact that winning is not an option... he fights this fight for one thing... to love and be loved in return.

KTRECORDS responds:

Very nice scenario. It relates very well to the sound of the song. I can see it as well. While struggling to fend off a few enemies he gets shot in the back by a stray arrow (or bullet depending on the the time period) and all he can do is sit there and die slowly with his thoughts and regrets.

Thank you for your compliments and thanks for checking out my final version of the song. Check out kelwynshade's music for even more quality emotionally driven music!

This is the saddest and best song i've ever heard

I love this song if you guys like final fantasy, but if youve seen the trailer for Final fantasy 13, it shows the the antagonist, the king of a major city and empire is defending tht of his citys power crystals. He starts to walk down the steps against a whole army and surrendurs himself to keep his city safe and help it prosper then they take him prisoner. You should take the trailer and have this acompany it would be totally awsome.100 stars out 10

KTRECORDS responds:

We very much love Final Fantasy. Josh and I are both huuuuuuge rpg fans. Our most recent venture was lost odyssey for the 360. We both loved it so much that Josh made a song as a tribute to it. You should check it out. It's called Kaim Reborn. You can find it under his account (kelwynshade) or at his site www.kelwyns hade. com. Thanks

Epic.

... He fell down on his knees, looking at his shaking blood stained hands
while he quietly said "No, what have i done" He then looked at his dead brother.

KTRECORDS responds:

That's a good one! Maybe they were fighting over some girl or something... I like it!

Wow...

Here is what I think, a child who is now all grown up, comes back to her house which is now emtpy. The place she ranaway from because her parents had abused her, and saw no way out. Trapped in that house she called hell, until the police came and rescued her, but she had once again been thrown away. In the system she was quite and sometimes wished that she never had been born. If it wasn't for that policeman she wouldn't be here. She looks through her house, then she's in her room, and remembers the beating and the sexual abuse that her parents let her take. And yet she still loved them. Well, into her teenage years, going from foster home to foster home, she got more and more depressed. She wanted freedom, not sympthy that she got from other people. She got pregant when she was sixteen, and had a miscarriage. She was about to commit suidcide when her parents pumped her stomach. Now as an adult she carries scars from cutting, but now she regrets not that she never really had a childhood, or her parents weren't parents, or that she was never loved for who she is and not for her body, but she regret, not ever saying I love you. She heard the words from other people, but she never said it herself. Maybe she should've died, but now she's a wealthy women with adpoted kids of her own. It turns out with years of sexual abuse she had aquired AIDs. She curls up in her old bed and cries so much, that she knows that she will never get out of this bed. "I should've died here, everyone else did."

KTRECORDS responds:

Man, that's pretty damn depressing, lol. Almost makes me feel bad for writing the song! Anyways, thanks for sharing, feel free to check out the rest of our stuff!

I like the overall texture.

Normally, with sad music, I either see an anhilated battle field, or a flashback sequence of a tragic character. This one has a slight flair to it that has several possible stories. Inlcuding being mere background music for a deserted village, it has several possibilities.

Like I said, I'm not getting a mantage out of this one, but a theme of sorts. It seems to describe someone or someplace... Ah, there it is.

Now, I've gone and found a story. An ancient and technologically advanced civilization has, instead of collapsing, grown to enclose the entire world and part of the solar system. But, with its growth, this civilazation has become oppressive and its ideals have warped to no more than a dim utopia. Eventually, internal strife and deprivation of culture has caused it to come close to collapsing in the present. There is no small rebel force, just general discontent. I'm seeing a kind of dark distopian utopia, where the basic needs of the upper class are met, and the lower classes are reduced to just taking care of the machinations that feed the fat cats. There is no end in sight to this broken system.

My thoughts were a little redundant, and I swear I contradicted myself more than once, but there it is. You were right to reccomend this one, I could make up several stories to go along with it, only thing is they'd all be tragic.

That said, I can clearly make out the voice instrument, that version of it detracts a tad but not much. It's like the river bed rock in an arrow head collection: hard to tell, but there's something a little off.

"Music is just another form of art. And there's a little something they say about art, you know. Art is never finished, it is abandoned."
