You appear in an empty field, with nothing in sight but a door with no room and the sound of something that is there but isn't quite there.

What is this place? Why are you here? How can you get out? Do you want to get out? Only if you let go of your instincts and listen you will find out the truth

Since music is quite important in this game (and because I was thinking of doing it anyway), you can listen to the OST of Faint in my soundcloud page:

You can also listen to the main theme, Neverending, here on Newgrounds (

I'm glad you liked it and thanks for bringing Faint up to the featured section!

I would enjoy the ability to walk and listen at the same time or to move faster. The theme feels like it's getting shoved in my face instead of letting me discover it and the random monsters scattered around that make you start over make the game unnecessarily more difficult.
In an attempt to be more constructive: I need a clearer goal or challenging gameplay; if I don't know why I'm running around listening for stuff and the difficultly lies only in finding the macguffin without stopping too long at a "there's a monster here" symbol it's not fun.

Me: Hmm, there's a strange symbol here, I wonder if I should do something with it. Hey, why is my screen getting dar--OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?! ;_;

Aaanyway, it takes a bit to get the hang of, but this game is pretty fun and unique. It's kinda creepy too... Makes you wonder what's up with all the music and monsters and that disconcerting whooshy noise that happens every time you move. (I haven't beat it so I don't know if this is all explained or left to your own interpretation. xD)

I guess this is an alright game, what with the stopping and finding yourself stuff. I would suggest some hints or make the changes in the music a bit more obvious. It took me forever to figure out what to doin the first room, and the only reason I figured it out was through trial and error. I didn't know if it was just me so I got others to play the game too and most of them were clueless too. This game uses a great concept and everything, but I guess not everyone can understand it and listen.
