In Painters Guild you can make paintings, sell them and develop your guild into the greatest of the Renaissance.

This alpha lets you experience the early life of Da Vinci as Verrocchio's apprentice. More alphas will be released telling the story of other artists. The full game will feature these artists as well as a Sandbox mode.

It is actually very solid, the gameplay is consistent and the difficulty is on point, the graphics are neat, the music suits well and the theme is really nice, some add-ons could be made here and there (like making the workshop more efficient, disposing of obsolete furniture), the character progression seem a bit vague since the only difference is how fast they paint and get tired, some perk system and/or special traits from different artists, a hiring system, a sandbox mode and a more accomodative finance system.

The graphics look beautiful, the concept is interesting, and the gameplay, though repetitive, is solid. However, selling furniture is a must and, at this point, it's not a game I'd pay for. This is a few edits away from greatness. If there was more of a story and less monotony I'd gladly buy this game.

Thanks, Burnhouse! I have been working on huge improvements for the past year. Selling furniture is in, as well as new features such as hiring painters, expanding and customizing the guild, new cities and a lot more. You can follow the development here:

I give this game a honest 5 (which is rare)! I give this a 5 because this game has no problems, the music is exquisite and fancy-sounding, the gameplay is, of course, amazing! The graphics are pixel-like, which I love! No problems, fascination music, amazing gameplay and pixelated graphics? That's an obvious 5! Phenominal job!
