Author Comments

**Note: Yes there is a lot of words. This is an INTERACTIVE VISUAL NOVEL. So reviews that say there is a lot of words, that shouldn't be a bad point, Take this for what it is, not what you expect it to be. Thanks.**

Created for Newgrounds Game Jam 4.

Team Mohawk Dairy!

Our handicap was that all graphics had to be created OUTSIDE of flash.
We went with a hand drawn and scanned, classic retro feel.

Everything was created in 72 hours.
The story was written in 72 hours.
The art was done in 72 hours.
the code was written in 72 hours.

Hope you enjoy.

Can you get All 4 endings?
True ending is the best.

Well made.

The only problems I noticed were:
When you shoot the groundskeeper, he shows up alive at the end anyway. That COULD be handwaved by saying he never actually died, but then Marsh references things Norm told him in the 'don't kill the groundskeeper' option.
When the radioactive chicken shows up, one of its wings gets cut off by the background.

Other than that, there were no glitches, no real storyline errors, no control errors. You did a great job making this out to be a parody-- assuming this was your intention, of course.

(P.S. Would you mind including an alternate, keyboard control scheme for the next game? I'm sure I'm not the only one who prefers that to mouse clicking.)

Parody is what we were going for.
There will be enter/space advancement options in the next game.

Wished it was longer! XD

Great game. I like the mystery and the WTF? mouments. Radioactive chickens, evil smurfs, gardener somehow living, jumping into holes, etc. The starting form the beginning was somewhat annoying but tolerable sense the game was short. Hope to see another, longer game like this. :D

But the game didn't answer one important question. Did Mittens ever go to Mexico? :(

tenentenen responds:

The Sequel will be "Mittens goes to Mexico" and will explain everything.
Just kidding,
The next game will have a, longer, better plot, similar art style, but MUCH more interactivity, but no relation to this story.

A Fun, Short Horror Comedy

I enjoyed the writing style, the comedy, the mix of the melancholy lines with jokes. There was an issue I had, there were numerous spelling mistakes; obvious ones.

I dont come across a game like this too often so I was pleasantly surprised. The sketches were awesome. It really made me wish the story was longer and had more visuals just because they were so enjoyable.

I wish the dialog was longer than one, two lines. It was somewhat annoying to have to click every few seconds. Before I forget, thank you for including the option to skip watching the text "print." At least it made reading easier/quicker.

If you make any new stories that are longer, be sure to add a checkpoint system. this way we can choose to start from scratch or the last point.

I'll be looking forward to more of you'se guys work.

tenentenen responds:

checkpoints will be implemented in the next game.
As well as many new things, including a more thought out and longer story.
