Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

Author Comments

This has been the most difficult film I have ever made, because its meaning is very true to my soul. For too much of my life I have been a mindless consumer of time. Hopelessly placing value in things that never gave an ounce of value back. Now that I am older, I worry endlessly that this new generation is making the same mistakes I now deeply regret.

In the end, I hope my message is honest and clear. Whether you agree with me or not, please share you thoughts, spark meaningful discussions, and share this film with everyone you know.

Special thanks to all those who have been my strength - and to all of you for taking a moment to open your minds =)

Thank you

Very inspirational. I'm gonna go cure me some cancer.

Very Well Thought-Out

This video is true, though I would like to bring up a point: from an artistic standpoint, I DO get a lot of ideas and inspiration from video games, especially ones that touch more personal conflicts or ideals. This isn't to say AT ALL I disagree, but I believe there can be a middle ground.
I also like how you added the parts about friendship and community through gaming.

Real Nice!

You used the idea of video games to draw people in, share with us your story, then show us how it can negatively effect our lives and the positive upbringings it has. You make it not that video games are bad, but generally anything that overtakes your time without proper balances will negatively impact your life. Very good!

Good video

To all the people complaining about how it makes no sense to read War and Peace or drive cross country from LA to NYc, I don't think the author intended these as suggestions for what you should do instead of playing video games, but instead something to measure the time against, to show the, while lvling a toon to 80 may feel like a relatively short amount of time, the fact that you can do these other things in the same amount of time shows just how staggering it is.

I don't think he's saying "Wow, you all suck because you're grinding while i'm rereading the Narnia series for the fifth time" as much as "Look, you could have traveled to the moon in a rocket in the same amount of time it took to finish leveling. Hope you like gearing too."

I feel like an idiot.

Damn I feel like an idiot to have spent just 12 or maybe 13 DAYS on only modern warfarfe 2, and ofcourse other games. I could just go out and get a real life and stop destroying my grades in school.
