You wake up in bed, as normal, but can't remember how you got there, you get up and check your journal, apparently you filled it in last night, but none of it feels familiar. Seemingly only one of few people not to have been taken by the mysterious happenings occuring all over your home town, you take it upon yourself to investigate and try to uncover what it is, that's manipulating the world as it is.

**Update** Cheers for the reviews so far people, very useful stuff, sorry to some but the get's a bit graphic heavy towards the end and may lag for some, to turn pages etc, you have to click on the object where it's placed again, I would of made it the page itself, or a button, but I suck at coding, any bugs listed will be looked into, cheers again :)
**Update 2** Front page, hahah no fucking way!!!!!!!, madness, Thanks alot guys, that's all the inspiration I need to get cracking on part 2! I've learnt tonnes from making this one, so my hopes are high that part 2 should be fun =)

Well... I have to say I didn't really enjoy this. I love horror games, movies, play lot of horror p&p rpgs, love ghosts and spirit world and stuff. But this is why I don't like your way of making horror.
Can't see any point of the game, role of the main character, really prepared background or anything pointing to cool atmosphere. Just randomly written sentences about ghosts and some anoying girl, which looks at me at the end... end... end? What the **** happened in the end? Why is it end of the 1st part? I even haven't done anything to reach it, just clicked few times in some chosen spots...
I don't say it IS like this, I just say it LOOKS like this, and that is a mistake.
It's like being drunk, high and watching Tenshi no tamago after midnight at once.
But, it has potential, work harder and it'll be good ;o)
And little advice - add some really desperate music (like Twin Peaks, Fallout...), remove action parts and metagame sentences, remove even the flashlight, add more stylized scenes.
PS: The House entering part is 8/10 ;o)

good game however i didnt like how you have to wait until your flashlight battry rechagre all the way before useing and you cant turn it off until i dies but other than that its a great game
Possibly the scariest game I have ever played!
I am somewhat speechless. This game probably scared me more than others I've played at Newgrounds. I most congratulate you for such a great job.
When I played it, I could only relate it to a horror game similar to Silent Hill. Half the time, I was constantly saying, "WTF is going on?!" Thats in a good way. For some suggestions, I think you should put a sort of opening sequence to lay some of the story foundation down. The rest of the game was great. You have a great sense for creating a tense atmosphere, and creating moments of horror. I'll be eagerly awaiting the next part, but make sure to make it perfect, and not rushed.
