I would say go for the splitting of the b/p points into two categories. In addition to toughening up the easiest way to get on the list, it would give some extra recognition to those who managed to get 10k saves, a task far more difficult than obtaining 10k blams.

Um... if I cut it at top 100 and leave the b/p together at 10,000 (which is certainly one of those three options), you'd DEFINITELY be in the list. With your current totals, I think you'd be in like the 70s or 80s of the list.

Add up your stats, man. And then look at the list update. You'll see that you've got enough of the non-10k+ stats to compete with anyone. You gotta remember that at least 20 to 30 people on the list are down near 10,000 stat points OVERALL because they only have 10k+ exp and hardly any b/p or posts or reviews. You're a well-rounded NGer, like jonthomson or myself, and thus you'll do FINE on this list (once you get on it).

Good luck... but if I do cut it how I THINK I'll cut it (to 10k+ saves and 10k+ blams separately) then it IS indeed gonna take more work from you to get on... but you can make 10,000 blams somehow someway sometime.

It's certainly true that it's more multifaceted than any of my other lists... it just plain has way more data per line/person on the list, that's all. So yes, interesting indeed. But my being #3 on this, to me, isn't as cool as my being #22 on the VP list... thus, the VP list is still more prestigious to be high on in my mind.

As for getting 10k saves versus 10k blams, though... either one alone is going to get you onto the list... and neither one is going to be more lauded or noticeable on the list, methinks, so... but yes, I guess you just meant that anyone can scan the SAVES column of the list with that format and find out who's 5 digits in saves and give them extra props.

The top 50 saves list, however, already serves that function, so it's not my primary motivation or anything in choosing that format, if and when I do so.

Congrats on passing RyoHahn, alex. He's just getting exp (and maybe posts), so it's easy to understand how you passed him (you're still getting b/p and he's not... he just got passed by Recon as a result, in b/p alone I mean, as well).

Still, I do hope this shows you that your whole upsetness over not being able to move up much more on the top 10 VP list is unwarranted. You can still kick some major ass... right here on the QuadList. Just keeping getting all four (soon to be five) stats! #;-}>

I think either your Exp, B/P, Posts or Reviews have to be 10000+, not you Combined Total, but I could be wrong.

When you say "blam points," do you mean Blam and Protection combined, or just Blam?

It's the combined total. The list reads 'B/P'.

He will soon be changing it to Maybe on Blam. Or only Protection. So you would need to get 10k blams or 10k protection points. Use to be combined.

You get on the list by having over 10,000 points in any one of experience, BBS posts, blams/saves or reviews. Hence your quickest way would be experience, in just over a couple of months. You'd filter in fairly highly as well with your large review count and OK blam/save total.

I'm now past 22,000 total points myself, which if I keep going along nicely could be good for a top 50 spot in the next update.

It'll be interesting to see who overhauls fixit at the top of the list...

Ehhh... see, if ramagi had reretired at 40,000 b/p, you'd probably be right. But since she's still getting b/p at a fairly steady rate, and as I anticipate dropping to around her rate when I hit 40,000 b/p myself... and since we both get the same amount of exp per day (10, duh #;-}>)...

He stopped at 49,500 b/p in April.

In early May, one blam was credited to his account. A few weeks ago, one blam and one save were credited to his account. All of these were either from whistled movies he had voted on before he retired clearing... or from a point that hadn't gotten credited properly, which sometimes takes awhile to clear.

He hasn't done any voting since April. No exp, no b/p except for those 2 blams and 1 save he didn't get manually.
