i was thinking about buying Gmod, but it says i need a source engine game, and as of right now, the only other game i have is TF2, and i was wondering if that was good for it, or if i needed to buy another game?

Yeh that should work fine, I reccomend you buy all the games included in the orange box in order to get more props

after you click download there will be a window that pops up asking you to open, save or cance, ALWAYS OPEN! It is faster when you open it... after that you extract the files into one of the following folders...
"C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\YOUR USERNAME\garrysmod\garrysmod\maps" This one is for maps...

"C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\YOUR USERNAME\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons" for certain maps that tell you to get put in here but this is for most downloads....

"C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\YOUR USERNAME\garrysmod\garrysmod\gamemodes" This is for gamemodes like GPK zombie Survival, DarkRP, tacoscript etc....

Once in one of those folders just open the game and create a server or play multiplayer, the file you downloaded will generally be in either your spawn list, NPC list, weapons list, vehicles list or Entities, UNLESS IT IS A TOOL! Then it will be on the side in your tool list... And that's it.
