Hey guys, I want some background drawing tips. Something is missing with my style, I am satisfied with it, but I just want to add a tad bit more detail to my pictures. So can you guys help me out? Any tips?

I'd like to see a bit more vivid coloring. What you have there appears kind of washed out, like when you're paining and using white to lighten your color, everything winds us looking a bit faded.
It's a pretty good background, however.

Around here at least, there are a couple places you can go to, if you supply the shirts and the graphics, they'll print the shirts for pretty reasonable prices. Don't know about where you are though.
I've been doing that for my one color designs and It's been turning out great and cheap but around PR there is no screen printing shop and the shop I go to for my one color designs don't do screen printing and I wanna try out a few more colors. Any help would be great.
Hey hey. I am completely fucking new to newgrounds. And i am looking to get some art in. I am heading to my mates place ina couple of hours. I need a few tips on some software that i'll need to get while i'm there. Ive been drawing on normal paper for a few years. But useing teh mouse and tablet is completely new to me. I'm going to be doing concept ar tand character design mostly. Heres wat i do on paper.
If the picture comes up side ways or something. I'm gonna rage. I'm on my dads computer atm. mY laptops still in teh shop.

I really wish there was a quick post. Anyway I think my picture is a little 'faded' because of the feint light source that I added. If I take it out the colors would be a little vivid. I put that there because I wanted to have a sense of brightness in the sky while gazing beyond the depths of the forest. I'll take it out and then let you compare:

Nintendo is indeed awesome and they make legendary titles. I do like drawing videogame characters and I'm working on an animation now based off an internet joke of Mario 64. I also made my 'own' version of Megaman a while back, what do you think?

Thank you man, I appreciate those words. Although I can be so much better, I have to just keep practicing and listen to my superiors here! BTW I detailed my background a little bit more in the forground. Still the grass i know I can do better but its hard trying to add dimension to, its one of my biggest qualms right now.

Yeah I do enjoy do enjoy doing some fan art when it is really something done out of there own interpretation based on what they've experienced from it ,Cannon or not. However I would never take the advantage to sale out for some fan service.

I just finished playing this bear's game.
It's really accomplished, the three of you have made a great work! Its only weak point is the game mechanic, it's rather bland, but it's understandable given the "beat the clock" nature of the Jam, and you managed to bring the most of it. In hands of other three chaps, this wouldn't come out as good.

They used my art for medals! I feel special. Also considering I did like the at least 50% of the art, I feel like I shouldn't be an "additional artist" anymore but that's just me.
