How does the Art Portal react to some of your more Explicent stuff?

Well, 1st they got deleted as "inappropriate", but after some clean-up & add of censorship, they are doing mighty fine. Funny, I get pretty much NO hateful comments (like some of my pals do)... even when people say "you're a creep" they still admit that the picture is, however, quite well made. I guess I underestimated the NG peeps.

Well ok, I still do get quite a lot of "0" votes on the most pervy ones ;)

But overall, I'm doing more better in it than I thought!

Not that it isn't well done, but I'd be interested to see some art of yours that isn't dragon porn.

If somebody draws an ugly fat bitch, but in great detail, so detailed even that you can see all the sweaty folds of bulging fat, layer upon layer of sweat-oozing lard covered in pale white cellulite-infested skin, I would not like it. Regardless of the technique that went into it, regardless of how accurate it is, it's still not pleasant to look at.

That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying you should stop doing what you do (though I personally would like to see more humans and whatnot), but don't act as if everybody that doesn't appreciate your art is discriminating or close minded. It's a matter of taste.

Exactly, it is a matter of taste, people just tend to bring their own tastes up ah-too-often. Sorry if I misunderstood you, you can pretty much guess that I usually stick a "defensive" gear on when people talk about me & my... subjects of art. Which I can understand, but I do not like it when people tell me to draw something else. But, no harm done here.

Well I have been reading through your thread for a while now. I just browse around reading arguments and such for entertainment.

Anyway, I found this site that might be useful (http://www.posemaniacs.com) if you haven't heard of it already. It's a really nice site and people here suggest to use it a lot.

You have a very nice design on your characters. Although for your last piece, the face is a little big and the cloth around him makes his for head big which makes his head even bigger (the human).

The shading in all your pieces a very nice.

I really think if you do just random pictures in posemaniacs.com, it can really help not only your human characters but also your dragon characters.

Congratulations on being out of the army, even though it's a little late.

I forgot but your sig and your eye for your profile are two very nice human drawings. I like them a lot :).

Hmmm, I might check that page out, now that you brought it up (I've heard about it before, just never checked it)... I'd be truly enthrilled if I could figure out how to draw a good human face, so I might give it a shot via doodling, and who knows, maybe I can draw something worth posting as well. And of course... You sir, have gotten quite the better over the past bunch of pages of your insanely long thread! Coloring style has improved, you add more detail, and the images are of an overall better quality.

Since I know you are gonna stick with the dragons (and there's nothing wrong with drawing what you want) I think the head positions are getting a little too repetitive. It would be great practice for you, and your art to try out some 3/4 view heads where you can see a little bit of the other eye/side of the face etc.. It will help you think more in terms of the actual dimensions of the character you are drawing.

Anyways good stuff and keep at it, you can only get better!

Funny you say that, I absolutely agree with here. It's been a constant struggle with me, and by some twists of fate, I have always chosen a head position where you can only see the other eye... it could be the way I draw my dragons heads, or just the fact that I'm too lazy to even TRY 3/4 view, or that I have just grown too comfortable with my current "eyestyle" But believe me, I have thought & thought about this matter myself... But I should try it, because it could, like you said, help me think about the actual dimensions at hand. And it could possible let me design even more cuter expressions............
