Monthly Audio Contest 2007 - 8-bit Christmas theme FINAL SUBMISSIONLIST
For this MAC you could submit a total amount of 2 entries!
Deadline for submitting your tunes was: 21:st December 11:59:59pm EST
To say it yet again, deadline is deadline even if you are 1 second over it! Another easy rule from me...if you're not on the list, you're not on the list. To be sure, and to correct my stupid brain in any case...talk with the big chiefs...I mean LJCoffee or
Rucklo there. If they agree on your submission, it's a good to go.
Always check back on the list by yourself. I guarantee for nothing! >:(

I think LJ or Rucklo will explain this matter here yet again.

Yeah i did submit, you cant say that isn't 8-bit... though it is a cover
Well TJ you should probably ask Rucklo and/or LJ
But I can't see any reason that they might give for Chron having an extra 22 hours.

Actually, I can say it's not 8-Bit- the synths you use have a much more detailed and "round" sound than chiptunes use to- plus the polyphony and amount of channels is much more than necessary

I'd call constant whining about how someone was allowed to enter the contest abuse of that

and that's why it's not on the list. I could not have said this better myself.

Chronamut contacted me at about 11:00 AM EST on the 21st (13 hours prior to deadline).
He attempted to submit his track several times but there were network problems that prevented him from uploading his submission to NG.
I did manage to get a copy of his submission via email on the afternoon of the 21st so I know that it was completed prior to the deadline.
I told him that as soon as his connection issues were fixed he could upload it and that we would include it in the MAC.
This is one of those issues where the artist let me know in advance so I have no problem with it.

uhm...I did man. Furthermore, you always had the possibility to update your track for the contest. Sorry for the missunderstanding. : /
No matter how much prefacing and warning we go through, this always happens to at least one person.

Well, if there had been no warning, probably a significantly higher number of ppl would have submitted late.
Lol, I just used a conditional! And Americans probably can't even understand me! Huzzah! xD
It's alright, Chron's submission doesn't sound nearly 22 hours better than mine anyways. ^^
:\
-Smack talk AFTER the results come in? That way, you can brag or mope all you want.
-Either that or don't bother with it, there's been a good handful of sweet 8-bit stuff in this contest ;)
Sorry to be a nag so late after the competition has closed, but I can't understand why my submission is not on the list, considering that the only issue brought up was explained and within the rules, was my track straying too far from the "christmas" feel because it's not a cover. I just think it's odd because I was on a previous list, I can't see what's wrong.

Well, there we have it folks...that's why I always write, that you should ALWAYS check back on the list by yourself.
Best is you talk with LJ or Rucklo about your problem. Though, I think you are a little late for complaints. :/
i am sad, no time to make a suibmission. guess ill have to learn to make chiptunes on my own time lol
Wow not many entries this time round, but GL to everyone entered
and merry christmas ;D

Yeah, but I only saw the list first yesterday, and I was on the previous list, and after your issues I wasn't informed of anything else wrong with my submission.
I'll check with them because it really came as a surprise to me that I wasn't on the final list.

Yeah - just an oversight. I'll let the judges know to include your sub.

Whew, thanks LJ, I had a bit of a freak attack when I couldn't see my entry. My timing was really bad, it was lucky I checked, even though it was late, any other time I would have checked the day it went up, so this was a one off thing from me darkside.

It's okay, i think ppl might have gotten a bit out of hand on it, but you're right, it could have used some ironing out, and i'm sure you would have had that covered...ahh, maybe next time when you DO iron it out, eh?
A few of the judges are MIA - probably hungover from holiday swilling but as soon as we get all of their scores we'll tally up the results.
Please stand by, be patient, have a coke and a biscuit or whatever it is that you do when you're standing by and being patient...
Thanks
