The way that the list is laid out here, there isn't much leg work in that respect, but I'd still say that it's approximately another hours work, to prepare the 4 posts and put them up on the board.

"An hour" refers to your top 100 lists, though. This list is 300. So you'd have to say "to three hours," wouldn't you? You failed to do teh proportional conversionness!

That's what I've learnt from my 9 months of updating lists, so I'm quite happy to have 2 lists to update every month, rather than 1 list every week. I get less recognition, but I also get less stressed. Stats should not be a stressful occupation, they are the actions that bind us all in this thread, after all.

Eh. Feeding your own statneed and that of all your listfans can sometimes be stressful. We can either carry on... or give in. ;_;

I just get the feeling that B/P is easier to stat pull than Review Responses, because you don't have to work with the eventuality of people falling down from losing points. That's one big reason that the Saves is easier to cope with :P

Huh? You're saying that there's a ton of inactive people in the top 300 b/p that just sit at +0 and they don't take long to update (obviously) as you just move on to the next one... but with review responses, you have to deal with some of the inactivies losing reviews and responses?

That's true, but b/p is two stats, saves and blams.... just as responses (at least the way you're doing it) features both responses and reviews.... and personally, checking a profile, even if the b/p is the same, still takes time. So 300 profiles on a list with 2 stats, even if no drops happen update to update..... has got to take around 3 times longer than 100 profiles on a list with 2 stats, even with drops.

Or at least 2.5 times longer. Certainly not 1.0. Certainly not the exact same. That's all I'm trying to emphasise. #;-}>

You know, when the update comes today, I'll only have moved up 2 spots - if I can get the 14 B/P I need to pass ArtistJ, which I should. If not, I'll only be moving up 1 spot. It's not like I'm going at a slow pace, either, as I'm currently sitting at just over 50/day, which isn't exactly slow (although, granted, it's not exactly super-fast like some of you guys).

Oh well, I guess it's time to get used to moving up the ranks much slower... :(

Still ahven't found him yet but I went to dig up some news archives and learned the reason why he's been in hiding. In 1995, a challenger came into his house while Ko Chun was away and gutted his pregnant wife open, a year later Chun found the murderer and gutted him open after defeating him in a high stakes game in which he risked his life. Ever since then he has been in hiding since. Finding the God of Gambler is a lot tougher than I thought it will be.

Challenges are always fun - I'm sure you can get your 50 B/P per day over the course of this week, though. Does your work still have that ban on non-work-related internet usage?

As for my B/Pness, I'm quite pleased to be in the top 200, I must say. It's more of a challenge to gain ranks, considering that right now, each person ahead of me is a few hundred points apart. Old news to all you Supreme Commanders, but for me it's quite nice to leave the plus-5-to-10-ranks-per-day region. Feels like I'm actually earning each rank now rather than passing it by on my way up the ladder.

Yes, but we're now finding ways to get around it - I've managed to catch all of my colleagues looking at the BBC website or facebook. If I get caught, I've got some collatteral to take those fuckers down as well.

That and people are going out for lunch, leaving me on my own, looking after the phones. That's their fault, so I'm looking to capitalise all the time.

I find it amusing that people feel the need to troll in this manner. There must be some underlined reason behind the bitterness towards users like Afro_Stud, because even those who aren't interested in stats on NG would surely just ignore threads like this, rather than make a concerted effort to mock the people involved.

Either way, the kid obviously has some serious problems if he has to resort to insulting people he doesn't know about something he claims not to care about to make himself happy. My advice: get a hobby (trolling doesn't count). Maybe you'd enjoy knitting? I hear it's very relaxing.
