I know, it can be rough, but if you've been doing this for months, you're getting a lot of negs. A lot of advice in this thread tends to be overzealous. Go for the clear stuff - there are tons of really awful reviews. I usually steer clear of flagging unhelpful reviews, just the really obnoxious or moronic ones, because I can't see feedback from the mods and thus can't learn the line real well. Still, I caught myself cheerily reporting a page full of old reviews from 2005. It happens.

Actually, you've got the line perfectly

unhelpful reviews aren't abusive, they're just unhelpful. That's why we have the "unhelpful" button instead of just a "helpful" or "Abusive".

Go for the painfully obvious ones. I don't like thinking, and usually when I have to think I always ask myself something that Tom has said at one time or another about review moderating. "how nice do we really want to force everyone to be?"

The guidelines aren't "Rules" they are simply a general outline of how to best present an author with some advice on getting better.

Hey, I know this isn't exactly a review, but since you guys are the ones with the good whistles, I think you might want to blow them on this one.
