It's not that the judges are slow, it's just all of you cows are impatient. And I'd PERFER it if the judges took their time on this, they have an important job and they better do it well. I dunno how many of you were around during the xmas loop audio contest last year, but it was kind of a fuck up since different judges with different personalities and rating habits judged different songs with an ambiguous judging rubric. I'm not sure how this contest's judging is being done, but I at least hope there are several judges per category who are judging EVERY song in it. Thus, all is fair, if there is a harsh judge, all songs get judged harshly, if there is a lenient judge, then all songs get judged leniently. But whatever the case, whether in battle or style categories, the judge has to judge more than 20 loops, so shut up, sit down and wait.

The results are currently being discussed at an undisclosed location and we're trying to determine the order in which you will each be stalked.

Easy - Here goes:

Round one:
All judges listen to all submissions and nominate ten entries to move on to round two. The nominations are totalled up and the ten tracks that recieve the most, go on to round two.

Round Two:
Each judge is asked to put the finalists in order from best to last.
The top entries are fed into a spreadsheet and points are assigned based on the judges' results. The number one spot on each judges list is assigned 10 points, number two gets 9 points and so on down to the tenth place entry which is assigned 1 point.

The scores are ADDED up in the spreadsheet and the data is sorted to produce a tentative order.

Final Pass:
The final order is looked at by a special panel of judges (the members change for each MAC) and any needed changes to the final order are discussed and made. An example of why this might be necessary would be to determine the final order in case of ties.

That's how it's currently being done -

We're presently in the Final Pass stage but the winner has definitely been established.

haha! I can wait forever for the judges! I have like, a bajillion patience units...if patience can be phisically measured that is... I have a summer job, with a 12 hour work day.
