If anyone wonders about the deadline, this is the deadline. Last second of April, that is. The loop must, in addition to being submitted to the AP be posted in this thread, of course.

If this contest ends at the end of April, how will it help flash authors for Pico Day, which is at the end of April..?
I would suggest moving the deadline up to the 15th, or the 20th at least so this competition can serve it's purpose.

thought was to have this contest out a few weeks earlier, but it got delayed for ceveral reasons.

Now, it was launched mid march, and we're talking about loops that are faster to construct than full songs. Also, there are advantages with having your audios out quick, needing flash authors will come here and see what's been submitted = extra attention etc.

Sure deadline could be sooner, but I don't think there's any harm in keeping it open until Pico Day, even though I see your point about having all submissions in before Pico day.

I'm gonna make a battle entry soon because my soft one is really bad. the program I used was weird so this one should be better.

well, I think my battle loop could use a bit more finesse, and I should start on a soft loop, but I'll probably hold off another week and submit both at the end of this month...
(and yall should get excited now, because I've never made a battle loop... and it is turning out to be pretty freakin amazing)

My battle loop is gonna be amazing. I spent at least 2-3 hours making the notes. and i'm gonna spend a lot more time composing it and giving it the oomph it needs.

Yeah I still don't have my monitor so no FL for me =( I will try to get it soon though! My entry probably won't be till some time in April though =(

Pico Crack

This is my second entry for the contest. This is the battle loop.

With this one, I was going for some sort of mid battle style with a short pause for a nice close up with the camera or a tense point within whatever story it might be.

OK...

I know I already submitted my battle style track, however, I feel like a tool because I completely disregarded the guideline and submitted a 60 second song instead of a loop. This is a modified-to-loop version of my original submission... please please please let me enter that as my battle style submission instead of the other one?

If not, I will not bitch or moan; I'll take it like a champ and keep on trucking on my slow submission.

Bah, alot of ppl who wants to pull the loops and redo them. It's still early in the contest, I'm gonna get some feedback from LJCoffee and Darkside555 (yolistmastah, wheres da facking list yo>:), and will return in short with a statement.
