Sketchbook Tour 2007 2007-03-04 18:06:51

Its back. If you are interested in participating PM me your mailing address and I'll get a panel out to you. I'll PM you when I have mailed it out to you so dont stress out if you dont see a panel as soon as you PM me.

Please read the Q and A below as some things have changed from last year:

What is the NG Sketchbook Tour?
The
NG Sketchbook Tour is a project started last year, where artists from all over were mailed pages of a book and they drew on them and mailed it back and the book was put back together, there was an online version available (click link above). It was an awesome project and had a great turnout. The book lives in the NG office if you ever are in that area.

How can i be in this?
PM me your vital info and i'll send over a panel.

My parents said not to give personal info on internets... what can i do?
You cant be in this unfortunately. Everyone that participated last year is still safe and sound. Nobody other than myself will have access to your address and even I will get rid of it after I'm done with it.

I gave you my address last year, do you need it again?
Yes. Like I said I dont hold on to your address or save it in a vault to later blackmail you.. it was just for the project and now its gone. Give it to me again.

How long do I have to do something once I get the panel?
Initially there is no deadline, but its probably a good idea to mail it back as soon as you can so that you dont forget to mail it or you lose the mailing address or panel. Trust me it has happend before.

I am not a good artist, can i paste things on or stencil things?
Sure. As long as you dont put artwork on the back of the paper do whatever you want.

What happens if I mess up? Can I get another one?
Absolutely not. Me giving you another means someone else not getting an opportunity. If you fuck up, your life is over and so is your participation in the project, sorry.

Can I buy my own panel and send it to you and save time?
Nope. I want to have control over who is getting a panel.

WTF. Why are these 5inch panels so small compared to last year??
These panels are sturdy, white, and small enough to be mailed painlessly. Also they are going to be used in a different manner this year.
=============================================
======

Any other questions feel free to ask. I would like to close all send requests on April 15th so if you want in let me know before then. I'll be updating the list of people involved as it grows. If you are going to the Comic Con in San Diego in July you'll be able to see the finished product there before it ends up in the NG office.

Not really, although it helps if you are a diehard ng fan. It'll feel more worthwhile to you.

Any idea how long it'll take for a pannel to be shipped to the UK?

Just so I know.

I'll definately join this, i never found about the sketchbook tour until a while after everything was done and over with. The one time i had taking a break from the BBS >:(

Anyway, one question...are you going to be doing the publishing idea? Whats this new manner you'll be using them?
And how long will it take to send to Scotland? Do you want payment for the postage?

I'll give you my details in a second.

Just so I know

Well if its extremely important that you get your panel soon ie you are moving soon or something like that then let me know. I'm already fairly flooded with PMs, i am gonna send it in sets of 12. I'm gonna send the first set on Wed. and the next set the following.. etc etc

To the person that asked about moneys:
You dont need to pay postage for me to send it. Youll need to pay for postage for you to send it back. So dont volunteer if you arent going to go through with that.

Since the panels are so small I may end up having books printed but i'll deal with that way later in the project.

It's not extremely important, but it would be awesome if it came before the end of the month. <3

Also did you just delete & re-post you post?

Although I read everything, I still don't understand something.

1. What are we going to be drawing on?

2. By vital information, do you mean our full name, address, and stuff? Please tell me what informations I have to give.

Sure. As long as you dont put artwork on the back of the paper do whatever you want.

Did you mean, "As long as you dont put artwork on the back of the tile..."?

Also, is there a weight or thickness restriction?

Heres what they look like.. they are like bathroom tile-like pieces of illustration board.
