I can do this trick where you fakie ollie, then land into a fakie manual. As soon as you land into the fakie man. you fs 180 pivot. I don't know what it's called and the trick is not hard at all. Actually if you practice that trick it will help you improve on fs half cabs. So I'm willing to pay $1 to the first person who can tell me the name of that trick.

last i remember, this place was under protection from the DCPS. i'm happy to see it doing well. i'm MALforPresident, a leader of the DCPS, and i'm not joining, but noticed the club was on page 4 ^_^

anywho. just thought'd i'd poke my head in and say that i infact have two friends who are very into freestyle skating. and i myself have been longboarding for a few months know. i have a sector 9 cloud nine. it has grinding trucks, but i'm gonna fix that soon enough.

apparently my friend was raving that sector 9 wasn't such a great board company, but i have been pretty impressed with it. i've use arbors and fiber flexes for a few years know of friend's and all. and it may not have the flexibility of the fiberflex, but its flexible all the same. and practically indestructable...beleive me, i've landed hard onto the middle a few times where i was sure it'd snap.

and it doesn't carve as well as an arber. actually, because of the trucks i have on it now, it kinda sucks at carving, its very quick transations, not nice swooping carves. but i'm getting a new set of trucks that are made for carving on lonboards.

anywho. i really enjoy skating on my board. i take it down the the store, to school (well, when i had school), the post office. and just going around on the hills around here. i dont think i'd ever quite get freestyle skaing down, but right now my longboard is fun as hell!

So MAL, you're a longboarder? I almost bought a longboard once. Actually that is how I got into skateboarding. A friend of mine had a longboard, and they are just so fun to cruise around on. After riding his board I knew I just had to get one for myself. A few days later I went to the local skate shop to buy one and I ended up walking out with a skateboard. It was a few years ago so I don't remember how that happened. Anyways ever since that day, I've been addicted to skating.

Today was a rainy day so I didn't get to partake in any outside activites.

Kirkus, you had one you them all day skate days. Land anything worth bragging about?

haha, yeah, i went to one shop just to check prices. the bastard didn't care much and didn't really want to sell me anything.

i went to my favorite ski/board shop, maui north, and the manager and clerks were all enthusiastic that i was getting a longboard. you see i chat with them all the time about skiing and snowboarding, and my friends are always buying freestyle skateboard stuff from there. and they are longboarders themselves because, like me, they aren't very graceful on a freestyle board either, so they showed me their own boards and how they felt about them. i asked them about arbers and i was told that they got a batch of em where while doing a tight carve, the wheels would hit the bottom of the baord and send you flying.

and they had these other decks called "soul boards" which were pretty sweet and locally made, but i just needed a nice easy set up to learn on

today was near 90 and sunny...so it was alright. but i havn't been on my board in a few weeks due to work and weather or being away as i was today at a theme park
