Um, okay RavenGage, I realize that everyone hates us grammar nazis, but if you are going to have Sephiroth represent you as a character, it may be a good idea to correctly spell his name. Maybe you made the same typo twice in a row or something, but I just thought I'd bring that to your attention...

Anyway, I just saw my first four episodes of R.O.D. The TV, and I must say, I was quite impressed with the voice acting and graphics. Very cute characters as well, especially Hisa and Anita... It was also interesting and rather strange to watch people fight with oragami.

It's currently being shown of G4TechTV's Anime Unleashed, but hey, this is probably old news to some or most of you.

Midnight, as the title says, is a shadow dragon, and is supposed to be kind of a balancing force between light and darkness. (In this case, shadow is the dividing force, like twilight, between light and darkness.) A while back, he hung around with a priestess, Pyrosa (aka Pyrae), who had become a demon that resembled a dragon of fire by absorbing the spirit of a lava demon into her own. However, he was not the only dragon left....
Another dragon, this one a Dragon of Light named Hikari, had been corrupted when she had absorbed the powers of the dark human sorceror Nox. She quested for more power, and in her rage attacked Midnight and Pyrae. During the fight, Midnight was knocked unconscious, and Pyrae was killed. When Midnight awoke, he saw his beloved Pyrae lying dead, and chased after Hikari in a fit of rage. He eventually found her, and was nearly killed during the ensuing conflict. However, he managed to save himself, but lost most of his memories in the process. The power of one of Hikari's arrows had bound his draconic powers, as well as his memories, deep within his soul. Eventually, his "Dark Side", as he called it, began to take control of him. As he wandered the land, struggling with his dark half, he met the priestess Kikyo. She managed to help him seal his dark side away, and in return, he helped watch over the village. However, on the day that Kikyo died, Midnight had been following a lead on a group of demons massing in the mountains nearby. The rumors were false, but by the time he got back, Kikyo was dead. He was alone again. He managed to keep his dark side relatively under control until the birth of Kagome in relation to his era (relatively 16 years before the events of InuYasha). At this point his dark half began to take control again. However, he stayed out of human affairs, staying in a castle of his own design, until Kagome ventured through the Bone Eaters' Well. At htat point, he began sensing the Shikon Jewel's return, and lost control. By the time that the events of the fanfic take place, he has already collected 5 jewel shards, but has absorbed them in such a way that Kagome cannot sense them yet. So, who do you think will win.
