At first, I thought that Samurai Champloo was one of those semi-good anime with only a few good episodes.
Then the ninth episode came up... My view on Champloo is changed forever.

It was fucking hilarious, the equivalent of Mushroom Samba I tells ya.
Also what's with the small crap Bebop sig? You had a much better(Bigger/wider) one previously.
I think this is exactly the same as the one I had a few months ago, with this very picture in the middle.
I don't know really, I can't make a good sig anymore since I don't have PDN anymore.

Yeah, you're right. I think I screwed up in scaling it.
You change sigs just as often as I do.
Yeah, yeah I do.
Anyway, I'm trying to pick a Studio Ghibli movie to download.

I think the biggest problem with Samurai Champloo is that none of the episodes live up to the greatness of the first episode.
That, and the fact that for an anime that puts such a heavy emphasis on music, its soundtrack is pretty average.
Sure, the rest of the anime is great, and I did enjoy it a lot, but every other episode seems a bit... Dulled when compared to the chaos of the first episode.
There was also the fact that I kept on thinking that it wasn't as good as Cowboy Bebop, but that's something which I can't really hold against the show considering that I don't think any anime is as good as Cowboy Bebop.

If you haven't seen Whisper of the Heart, watch that.
Kuro - Puting the 'Kur' back in 'inkurable disease.'
Oh yeah, and I have this weird theory about a new anime series.
Like an anime with emphasis on music, like Bebop. But it's set in the present day with something like a ninja or a pirate before the other word. Think about it, it sounds stupid but it could be possible...
Like Ninja Deathcore or something. y'know...

Oh god how much the internet has made me hate the image of ninjas and pirates.

Well, I'm not saying I want that to be the next Watanabe series, I'm just pitching ideas around.
Samurai is done, Cowboy is done, what next? Spy?
Man, the Cowboy Bebop movie is awesome.
I mean, it makes Samurai Champloo look like a pile of crap, seriously. And, it makes me remember that Cowboy Bebop is long over. Which is depressing, obviously.
Anybody else have thoughts on this film?
I haven´t seen the Cowboy bebop film, i should watch it next week.
Or tonight, if i have the time.

I wouldn't really hate on it for those reasons. It's just short, and it gets old fast.

I think that was the one thing that made me love Anime. I was already catching Sailor Moon, DBZ and Magic Knight Rayearth every now and then, but the CB movie showed me that there was more to it. Next thing I saw was Spirited Away.
I watched Magic knight Rayearth when i was like 9, i thought it was dumb.

What did you think of the show? I have both seasons on dvd and have only watched the first two episodes.
Looks pretty cliche but good fun. Except Wendee Lee being in it, stop being in everything for christ sake.
In hindsight, pretty lulz and cliche.
Back then? OMG NUDE TRANSFORMATION SCENES.
It's decent, if you like Magical Girls shows.

Isn't that the anime where there were pint-sized Gundam and the Zaku-Zaku had a show?
Man, I cried when that ended.

No, that was SD Gundam Force, which is pretty close to being the worst Gundam show ever.

Holy shit, what do you think could be worse than that garbage?
Also, hello, everyone, I have returned.

Oh, well my bad.
I think it'd be worse if I watched it now, I loved that when I was 8.
What´s the best Gundam series? I´d like to give it a try.

Zeta, by far.
Make sure to at least watch the 0079 movies first, though, you're going to want to be familiar with the backstory or Zeta won't be as satisfying.

Ugh, no I wish I was.
Only thing I've dipped into at all is a little One Piece.
Doesn't every show sort of become like DBZ? I mean, let's all look at Bleach....
Live action Higurashi no naku koro ni?
Must be bad if it's so unknown, or I'm just behind the times.

Nobody here really likes Higurashi.
I'm really surprised by how popular it has become in the past year.

I've only watched ten minutes of it, haven't decided if to drop it yet or not.

Somehow, there will always be a fan for even the worst show. But maybe they just like the odd mix of genres, it's trying to be too many things:

It's a shame that themes that I wish media would use more often and better, such as sexual themes and violence are used in ridiculous ways. Perfect Blue was a good psycholgical thriller with sex and violence. Elfen Lied is not.

I can't say I didn't enjoy Perfect Blue, but I had thought it would be better. Maybe I just need to watch it again.
Elfen Lied is not.
I don't think we even need to go there.
