Even Twilight Princess lacked the extra oomph (namely the "beyond current ideas and concepts" feeling) that OOT has. Not to say that it's a bad game but it was just released a bit too late.

However, the way they set up the final battle made it epic enough to get a 10/10.

I tried that and it actually worked =S It´s deffinatly not some sort of forgotten glitch, it must´ve been done on purpose. No idea what the creators were thinking there.

That was some pretty interesting stuff. About that Fire Temple song, I heard the original and it´s total bullshit that they had to leave it out. Certainly it sounds a little bit like they´re singing "Allah Akbar", but you´ll only hear that when you really want to hear it =/

I for one, liked the cresent symbol better, they should have left that In because the cresent is a symbole that isnt actualy connected to Islam, it comes from the islamic luner calender and not the faith because Muslims are deadly afraid of making idols.

I liked the crescent symbol more as well, but the new shield wasn´t bad either.

I don´t know if OoT is still considered the best game ever made. I thought Metroid Prime took over the #1 spot when it came out.

The moon would've had to have landed in Termina, and TP is supposed to be the bridge (or at least just chronologically between) MM and WW.

Speaking of MM and WW, I wonder if Nintendo ever had any ideas on connecting the two (seeing as how WW is MM upside down).

Legend of Zelda rules

Hay guys, how about we start talking about our ideas about what we think should be in the next Zelda game, keep in mine that TP is the last "traditional" Zelda game, I think Shigeru Miyamoto said that.

Well, here is one of my ideas, let Vaati be the major bad guy in one of the consol games (so far he has only been on handheld games that are almoast spinoffs, or have a different bad guy than Gannon at the very least (give Ganon a break Nintendo). Also, Vaati would look good with Wind Waker graphics and a wind mage would be very powerful on a ocean world, also, forget about the Mimish in this (hypothetical) game.

Another Idea I have was inspired by this thread.

Basicly, you play as Zelda instead of Link, imagine a game that takes place during the seven years Link is gone, zelda is in hiding and can turn into her alter ego so she can ninja her way into enemy forts and stuf because Ganon is trying to take control of Hyrule (you cant tell me he did it overnight)

At the time, Ocarina of Time had the strongest lasting impression for me, mainly because it was down-to-earth story retelling and gameplay that macthed. After I played it for a few hours straight, I realized why it deserved the 40/40 from Famitsu (OOT being the first game to earn that score).

Twilight Princess has a lot of lasting impact on me as well. The smooth gameplay and combat features expanded on the epic feel of the game. Now if it was only much longer and had a stronger sense of a large war instead of a one-Hylian army.

The capabilities of the Gamecube should be able to support the extra distance of having Sangoku Musou-esque battles of countless enemies in all directions, but it's too bad it didn't have it.

MM was the best Zelda game in my opinion.

The story and pacing were actually done to the point where your emotions could be affected (oh SHIT I'VE GOTTA GET THIS MASK FOR KAFEI), the fighting was perfected, and it was the only one where you really gave a damn about saving the world in a timely fashion(60963439280534 days in OoT, 3 in MM).

Also, MM is just better. It's a proven fact.

I still remember the commercial for that game. It was a WWF/WWE commercial where Matt and Jeff were looking at Link saying "I wish I can do that", or something like that. XD
