Haven't played the second one due to early impressions on the pc version being that it basically ran like garbage. It's supposedly better now but I haven't tried the demo for that yet. I've mostly played Visual Novels lately (Steins;Gate, Danganronpa).

There are some exceptions, like speedpaints and some live action stuff that actually has a script to it and what not. We still don't allow any live action crap like a kid screaming into a video camera or anything like that.

I personally don't like that they're allowed either, but they are. Tom doesn't see a real problem with them, i guess. Probably because the process of an artwork being created is being shown. I don't have much of an answer to that one, but they've really always been allowed.

Slap them things with a 0! If you vote 2 to get a protection point, you cheapen the site by allowing that crap thru. Maybe if some of this stuff got blammed, people might put effort into non-porn stuff. Yeah, I don't think so either, but I still hit every A rated anything with a 0 on principle. I can lose a protection point to keep my character about me. ...or 50. ...or 150...

Exactly, this may not be your way of working but I, as someone who reviews, go to painstaking lengths to make sure my vote is honest. Seriously. It van take me a long-ass time. Because I know for every blam I don't really mean I'm dooming a submission forever. I'm discouraging someone. Now, yes, 2 second loops would probably get a 0 or 1 from me, but giving a 0 to "any A rated anything" is just ridiculous. You can't judge a submission some way because you personally don't like a trend/concept that is completely allowed and has been allowed since Newgrounds was founded. You're not judging a submission by its quality, you're judging it by your personal agenda and that, my comrade-in-arms, is a form of zero-bombing. Yes, I sometimes give Madness tests 0s instead of 0.5s when I'm not sure it deserves a 0.5 because we gotta discourage those, but that's because they're not finished works. I don't go through tests and mass 0-bomb without looking at them.

I basically agree with both of these happy fappers. There's nothing inherently wrong with an adult submission, and even accounting for subjective taste it'd be hard to justify a fair 0 on many of them.

Same here. My 0 button is relatively rarely used, regardless of rating.

Didn't expect this to blow up, but I was just stating "the state of the portal". In the end, the voting is just a matter of opinion. I do vote lots of 0s because I think there's a lot of trash here.

I wish that there was a rule against movies that is less than 5 seconds, because if you look away for a moment, you've missed the entire thing. Shitty looping doesn't really help.

Yeah, I dispense 0s too when it's necessary. Tons of tests and stuff with 0 effort. The rule would maybe be nice, yeah. It's rarely possible for something under 5 seconds long to justify being in the movie portal.
