I fully expect this to get blammed, and voted accordingly. The rules for the contest state that they must submit proof they made it, and as such, he's trying to show that WIP. However, this is not the way to do it, and I'll send him a PM once it gets blammed. I'll remove it if it somehow passes as well.

I removed it due to it being gameplay footage.
Also, to fix the flagging issue, clear your cache. I had the same problem and clearing my cache fixed it.

This seems to be gameplay footage but I can't find the actual game anywhere. Thoughts?

Also, if you do that one, you can do this one while you're at it. Same thing, gameplay footage.

Tom republished it after he found out that it's actually hand drawn animation of a pretend game.

Well, actually - the way flagging or 'blowing the whistle' on submissions has improved compared to the way it was years ago. You can flag them more effectively with the new abuse categories and post the offending submission here. That way the submission is taken down much faster and you receive your whistle points quickly.

It seems the user removed it themselves and submitted the newer version with medals and some music.
A lot of users think the game doesn't work, but it does. I wish the author would put instructions on how to move the disks, though.
I don't see anything wrong with this, since what they added to the game wasn't much, but it still counts as improvement. Also, I don't think the author was trying to resubmit their game to obtain a higher score. I think they were just trying to improve their game a bit, since a lot of people were complaining about the old version.

When you're reporting something here, you need to elaborate on what you think the issue is. I think I know the problem you're having with those submissions, but I want you to clarify what you think the problem is so I can understand where you're coming from.

Fair enough. While I don't think I should be the key factor, over things like common sense for example, that tells you that there's something wrong with those submissions.
It's clear that all those subs are just one game with only cosmetic changes. I think publishing series of games based on the same mechanic is debatable - some sequels in series like crush the castle or dark cut, while using the same mechanic were either a reasonable extension of the gameplay, or a similiar, decent game.
Here, however, we're dealing with series of exact clones of game that appeared here originally almost 2 years ago. I do believe it actually can and should be called cookie cutter game at this point. Every next edition of this game is as original and creative as those "dress up" games, or Bejeweled clones.
I understand the game mechanic itself is not as boring and simple as the one in dress up games, but it doesn't change the fact, that it's just another attack of clones, and I have strong reason to believe that the producer doesn't write the code from scratch everytime he makes another one of those games, so it's most probably reusing a template to fill the site with number of clones of the same submission, just with different graphics and names.

In some ways, true. However, these do take more work than the various clones out there, and they are still fun. As time goes on, these might enter the realm where we will need to request some improvements and upgrades and originality. However, this guy's the only one who seems to be making these, so we're not inundated with a new one every day or two, so they're still acceptable.

That's what I thought the issue was, but I just wanted to make sure.
Anyways, while you think the Shop Empire games you reported are basically cookie cutter/shovelware games, they're not QUITE that. Sure, they have a lot of similarities, since they're a series of games, but it's not like the author is submitting the same game over and over each day or every other day.
With each new Shop Empire game that this author submits, sure it's the same kind of concept, but each game has it's own unique idea. When the mods and staff qualify someone as a shovelware submitter or spammer, it's because they upload basically the same game every day or every other day.
For example, if a user is submitting one to two escape games every day or every other day that have really no difference to them, those are shovelware submitters. I wouldn't consider LittleGiantWorld to be a shovelware submitter/spammer, since every Shop Empire game they have submitted, except for the last two, have been submitted at least a year apart. They're not trying to spam Newgrounds with a certain type of game or anything and that's a big part of classifying a user as a shovelware submitter or spammer.
With that being said, there's really no reason to take any action against LittleGiantWorld right now. However, if they start submitting several Shop Empire games or another type of game in the future very frequently with no real effort put into them, then action will be taken.
It's all shits and giggles until someone giggles and shits.

Also, @Exedor
I guess I understand your point. Frequency, or "shovelware" issue was never my concern. I understand that nowadays every bigger submission here counts, since it's source of ads money, but the idea of justifying a cookie cutter because it's not fucking you to death with high frequency of appearance on portal was just over me until this conversation. Thanks for clearing things up for me.

Barracks Roster as of March 1st, 2017:
Welcome to almost spring-summer-winter! Not sure how the weather has been on the other side of the pond, but here in the northeastern US we've managed to make all of the weather models break down and huddle whimpering in a corner. One day it's 40 and breezy; two days later it's 65 and springlike, then the next day snow showers and ice, then back to the 40's. Looks like someone is screwing around with the HAARP system again. Now I know what it was like living on the Genesis Planet just before it exploded. (KHAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNN!)
But I digress. Last month was quiet for overall BP points, but we had a lot of activity in the forum over countless crap flashes. Our intrepid crew of mods and members kept them all at bay, and they do it well, especially EGS EDM364, EGSC Exedor, EGSC DeftonesFan665 and EGSC GameJunkie. Thank you all for a job well done *SALUTES*
There was also some activity from some dormant members (EGSC GameJunkie and EGSFC ZJ) , and I'm glad to see them back in the saddle again! Also saw a lot of new names in the EGB Forum - maybe some potentials for new members?
Speaking of dormant - I have been contemplating cleaning up the roster and moving some members to inactive status (which will shorten the active roster and affect active ranking). Based on no activity for the past 12 months, there are 12-15 members that would drop off (some of which I know are never coming back). I can always reactivate them if they return.
What do you all think? Should I clean it up - or leave it be? Please let me know.
Anyways, back to the roster:

*Salutes* Yes, yes, it was a good month for blams, at least. Reminded me of '06 with the relative speed of submissions and frequency of shit submitters. Thanks for the mention. I really didn't think I did all that well this month!

I still think the ROTC is a good idea, considering the PD is totally defunct and we have users interested in the EGB still.

That sounds fair. Maybe change up the formatting in the header just slightly while we're at it, and add @ mentions to users in the roster. It's a bit hard to read with the spaces in the header and "Username" extending it to the point my eyes aren't wanting to make the connection between columns. Overall, good roster this month, and good mileage it looks like.

Yeah, it's crappy. I can't set up "divs" or "tables" to clean it up; however, you can always check out the current and previous rosters at The EGB Stat Site . It's formatted nicer, and it also generates the rough text for the monthly roster posts.
Also, do you have any plans to update NG Log? I know I keep asking, but the lack of inclusion of Art Reviews in the counts when I Jack In on there drives me crazy!
I am currently working on a project to merge NG Logs with my other site, NG Stats . The stats site needs a lot more functionality added, such as a quick search for a user, the ability to log stats on demand (right now, everyone's stats are captured semi-automatically the last day of every month), and merging NG Stat reports / graphs into the site. When you visit the site, click on "Users", find your name (yes, the list has 3000+ entries), and click on it - your latest stats will be shown ( see here ) - and you can then select prior month's stats. I plan on making the site "responsive" via Bootstrap as well. All ideas are welcome!
