I hate to write a blog, but: November 21st at 7pm, I got a 50 pack of blank Imation DVD-Rs from a nearby Walmart. When I got to the counter, I had realized that the case was damaged, so the manager went back and got another one for me. That was a nice gesture of her.

When I got home I noticed that there was no cellophane wrapping on the one she gave me, and that the label was DVD-R, but the discs were labeled DVD+R. That didn't bother me very much. I had never seen a DVD+R before, so I flipped it over and then discovered that it had been burned on. You know, the way the light catches the DVD grooves, it appears a little brighter. I looked at the following DVD+R, then the next, and the next. One of them had been burned halfway through. I was thinking why Walmart had not caught this, that used DVDs were being sold. I put one of the DVD+Rs into my hard drive. I wanted to be sure that they were used to know if I should take them back or not.

I saw a folder labeled "Porn" on one of the DVD+Rs. It had 18 files and 1.75GBs of data. Walmart sold used DVDs with pornography on them. I still have not accessed the files, so I don't know if it is underage or not (I'm not a professional on determining that). If anyone out there knows what I should do next, please email me at alienature@yahoo.com or respond to this thread. I'm thinking about filing a police report, but just trying to get some advice right now. These blank DVDs were made available to all ages, as opposed to the blank DVDs that require a 21+ ID check. Pretty disgusting story, sorry if I offending any Walmart shoppers, but this was my experience tonight.

p.s. Apparently Walmart prefers "We Live Together," Tawny Roberts, and some redhead jackoff handjob file, plus a handful of other lesbian pornography video files. Imagine what these girls went through to benefit Walmart at $21 for a 50pack of these DVDs.

I called the Walmart store and spoke with the manager explaining my experience. She said to come back to the store with the DVD+Rs. But I think she was the same manager that handed them to me! The receipt is signed off with the same initial as the manager that I spoke with! I'm afraid to go back to that Walmart you guys.

Return it and tell the police so they'll do an investigation to see if they're just selling old trash dvdrs. They would investigate it or do something about it cuz selling pornographic material to a minor is illegal.

Personally, I think it is better if you didn't. For fear of their jobs on the line or whatever they may put added pressure on you to "forger about the incident." Unless you want free or discounted stuff. Which I'm not being sarcastic, if you want that then do you.

But if this is really upsetting to you I think it would be for the best if you didn't go back unless you had some kind of representative with you.

Burn the store down, and use mental trauma from the discovery on your DVD-Rs as a sound defense. You can plead insanity and get ioff scott free!

I'm looking at the receipt right now that was signed by the Walmart manager who handed me the pornography tonight. It says, "Bring it all Home for the Holidays." Did they want me to give this pornography to my family for Christmas?

Should I take this to Imation instead? If Walmart sells NEW products, then Imation (the blank DVD company) is selling the pornography. I don't want these companies selling pornography to kids. Walmart prides itself as the family super store with low prices, where every customer in their commercial is happy. This is a pretty disgusting experience.

Because porn and Walmart don't mix (besides what happened here). They are notorious for pulling out albums that are too risque for the public. Oh and when they took off The Dixie Chicks cds because of that Bush incident. What happened here is just TOO JUICY to be ignored.

Ha, I just had a thought. What if Wal-Mart is really doing as well as everyone thinks? What if they had to get a loan and some loan shark is out looking for them? What if they were forced into underground boot legging and selling of porn. What if in the back areas they have illegal and un sanctioned strip clubs and gambling while on the side is a sweat shop to make those sweaters for the holidays that no one ever buys.

Just make sure if you do decide to seek legal counsil that you keep your receipt so you can prove when you bought them and that you didn't just buy them and then burn it onto them yourself, seeking a frivolous lawsuit. Trust me - if you were to sue a big corporation like Wal-Mart, the first thing they'd try to do would be to investigate you so as to shift the blame.

Is there a way to prove that this was burned before my purchase of it, and a part of the same stack of blank DVDs? How do I prove that I didn't do this? I have two witnesses, but both family members. There's got to be some table of contents on the disc, or date encoded into the DVD. The files say that they were last accessed 10/23/2005. I feel weird when my DVD player reads this disc. I don't want to put it into my computer anymore. Those smiling faces on the commercials have new meaning. They aren't genuinely happy anymore.
