I actually had some tutorial for that, but I forgot most of it already. :(

I had a course which dealt with it and they had some book online which I just saved on my laptop. Had to consult it several times already because it's indeed hard to remember it all.

Yeah with the rise of the internet so that everybody has access to anything at all times... It's just getting in the way nowadays.
For example I never got why websites are sued for displaying song texts. Nothing else, just the song text. Many (if not all) sites hosted on a german server where sued for compensation. Compensation for what? That's so ridiculous...

I never knew those kind of sites were dealing with copyright infringement issues as well. I agree with you it's a little bit silly. It's not like anyone is gonna pay money to look up a song text.

Just gotta stick around long enough I guess.

Here's to none for a little while now, but they'll slowly come around again. I'm assuming I'll get to 48,000 medal points before I get to anything else though.

48,000 Medal Points

And only a few hours have passed since I made this post before I had received 48,000 Medal Points. If I were to have waited a little longer to post the milestone I wouldn't have back to back medal point milestones.

OMG! Street View started in Germany today. Some kind of hysteria and/or paranoia led to some pretty silly actions. Now some houses aren't visible because some jerk complained to google.
My house is visible, the house next to mine isn't... this looks just stupid.

Basically what those sites where sued for is called "Schadensersatz" in german. It means that you sue someone for a loss you suffered because of some actions those person did (wiki about "damages").
It would mean that record companies suffered a loss because of those sites. So, by their logic people looked up a song text on the internet and decided NOT to buy a song.
I wonder how people can come up with such a twisted logic and I wonder why courts say the record companies are right. :/

It would definitely be a good idea to refresh your memory on it before you write your thesis ;)

I wonder how people can come up with such a twisted logic and I wonder why courts say the record companies are right. :/

Ugh! This just sounds like whining in the hopes to squeeze some extra money out of something.

Of course I could think of a ton of reasons why that statement is stupid, but above everything; If you think people will not buy albums when they find out the lyrics of the songs are bad, why don't you just make sure that you don't hand out contracts to people who write bad lyrics? Like: MAKE SURE THE PRODUCT YOU SELL IS OF GOOD QUALITY, AS ALL COMPANIES SHOULD DO.

This is one of those reasons why I just can not sympathize with those record companies who keep complaining that they suffer from illegal downloading. They really don't give a shit about music at all.

Of course I could always retire, but obviously I would like to retire at some nice numbers and not somewhere in the middle of nowhere. And I don't want to fall off the top lists into oblivion too quickly.

You may not hate the new axes but I don't like them to much. The old level 21 and 22 axes looked a whole lot better then the new 37 and 38 axes. but the worse part about it is that I have to go through those levels if I want to get to levels 42, 44, 45, 46, and my favorite 49. Oh well time flies and before I know it I will be past those those two crummy axe levels forever.

No, but seriously, that's pretty good advice. I think last time I burned myself out B/Ping nonstop, like I'm doing now. Already feels like a chore. Then I eventually stopped B/Ping all together, and only deposited every night, and eventually just stopped that all together.

Ah well, the universe is gradually slowing down, until all systems collapse in on themselves, thus rendering all human endeavour pointless. Just to put these stats in context.

Well, you'll be over halfway through the decade then, so why not stick around for another 5 years? Your goal then might be to get to the top 50 for Experience :P
True that. You on the other hand, you can look at the top 50 right now. I still have a way to go.

Well, I just passed Aksumka this morning, moving me to 119. Soon, I'll be overlooking the top 100 and from there, the world!

Was the Eragon's dragon blue? Hmm, the club would need to be even more specific.
Eragon's dragon is blue AND female.

And why does my mind spring immediately to Dragon Pr0n? It's not a massive leap, I know.

Nice, I remember BlackOps and Lazypint both singing 500 Miles (I'm gonna be) and breaking the karaoke machine, they were so good.
I was lucky to not have to sing karaoke as well. Bez and BlackOps did, though. ^^

You should! Karaoke is awesome, particularly with nutcases like the aforementioned scots :P

Last time I felt like that, I did stop, and came back 5 years later :P

Yikes.

No, but seriously, that's pretty good advice. I think last time I burned myself out B/Ping nonstop, like I'm doing now. Already feels like a chore. Then I eventually stopped B/Ping all together, and only deposited every night, and eventually just stopped that all together.

Nothing on Newgrounds should ever feel laborious. If it does (except for tasks that the staff have to complete, since they are paid a wage for it) then, the user should stop. It's a place that you should enjoy being a part of.

Well there is this old pic of him in the Lit section. #;-}>

Eragon's dragon is blue AND female.

I'll think it will be fine. I'm sure it won't be the primary topic of discussion of the club since there are other blue dragons out there.

Oh well time flies and before I know it I will be past those those two crummy axe levels forever.

I'm not saying 37 and 38 are good by any means but it's really a nice reminder of the old icons. Level 37 hardly does the old Level 21 justice.

I might have to dig through the London Meet pics again to see if I can see it.

Now now Coop, we can't have a club for Dragon Pr0n on the BBS. It'll just end up with people posting disgusting pics of dragon fucking cars or something like it.

I have to agree with you. I was so hoping that one day I would have gotten to the old level 21 axe, along with the old 15, 16, and level 19 icons But it will never happen now.

Usually Lemmy asks "Is it loud enough?" and the fans respond: "NO!"

He did ask that and I said yeah. It just wasn't TOO loud. :P

Because it's stating what's good and bad about Metallica's music.
Battery a cappella still sounds like crap (the original is aweseom, though).

How about Master of Puppets?

Stop it, that's making me think of Manowar. You know that's not good for you.
What makes you think of Manowar? "A man a plan" or "that was something different"?

A man of plan.

Sorry, it is bullshit.
Okay, let's end it here or else we just have another "you say no and I say yes argument" here. ^^

That's all there is to it.

I'm still immune to ghosts, though.
Speaking of gfox, he could start posting here again... would even be better than a picture of him.

We got a picture of him now. I suppose that's good.

And thus Aksumka declines. Right now, we are 37 ranks apart... OH SHIT!

Because me + female blue dragon = GOOD TIMES!

HAHA! We have him now!

Eragon's dragon is blue AND female.
I'll think it will be fine. I'm sure it won't be the primary topic of discussion of the club since there are other blue dragons out there.

So we can talk about Salamence, Eragon's dragon and the blue dragon from Blue Dragon.

I think it's a brilliant idea. Well, except for the cars bit. Still a great club idea, though!
