Remember, peoples, e-mails don't have to be from tom@mewgrounds.com. They can be from tom@newgrounds.com, or whoeverelse@newgrounds.com and still be fake. E-mails can be faked very easily by just anyone with an IQ above 5.

Just an FYI to people:
I don't know about the other mods, but I wasn't ever emailed about my modship. I simply logged on one evening and it was there. When I accessed the mod forum I saw posts in there letting everyone know I had been modded and to help me out.
In other words, any kind of instant message/email from "Wade", "Tom", "liljim", etc., is most likely complete bullshit because, as I mentioned, they don't really send out emails about it. If they grant it to you then they just do it. They don't make it a big issue with lots of fancy emails and IMs.

I've gotten IMed by people who tried to fool me into thinking that they were Tom, but they failed. If you find out who is doing this, how are you going to go about punishing them?
