Anyone by any chance have any Packs of Classic Trance songs from 1990 to nowadays?

The older stuff was great... Everythings the same and gone pop now D:

its funny, how retro movements happen 20 years from the original. When you start DJing, it will be around 20 years after the 90s... the 90s revival will be taking place. SPEARHEAD IT!!

Its nearly 20 years since trance was actually first made... I AM SO BRINGING IT BACK FIRST!

I wish I was in the Netherlands/Sweden/Italy where all the Trance is going on :'[

Especially on the music videos where its all bright and sunny at the sea.

DAMN IT I'm jealous of them.

FUCK >:(

An awesome Ethnic/Electronica/Rock hybrid band performed at our school today and they were so awesome I wanted to buy/download a song or two from them but it turns out they don't make records (only perform), are not signed and don't even have a myspace or anything of the like. Nothing. I can't contact them either cause they live like on the other side of the country and I don't even know their name, only the band name. What do I do >:(

You made me realize how incredibly little I know about the history and evolution of electronic music. I didn't start listening to any music at all before I was like, ten :o

Those areas are more into hands up type stuff. Not classic trance. I'm not sure where to find that. Though Italy may be good.

Yeah, I only really listen to the electronica stuff on newgrounds. I was about 10 too, when I first started listening to music. Got my first discman at 10. The first album I bought was Daft Punk's "Discovery". Apart from that I haven't got any other electronica CDs.

Mmmhm. Its a nice guide, and the forum is unique - USER MODERATED!! :O

That means that there are no mods except Ishkur, who made the site. I quote:

"Moderation of the Ishboard
This is not a public forum. It is a dictatorship. It does not have to adhere to the First Amendment, it does not have to respect your rights, and it is free to exercise any form of censorship it wants. I am its administrator, moderator and god, and I reserve the right to provide absolutely no explanation whatsoever for accounts, threads or messages being deleted, moved, suspended, or people being banned. With that said, you'll probably find the laws here more relaxed than any other public board. I really don't give a shit what you have to say (that includes blanket praise/condemnation of my site and its efforts), but there are some things I do not tolerate, if only to protect the signal-to-noise ratio..."

W H O O P S

Wrong quote.

"Are there mods?
No. And there doesn't need to be. You people are old enough to handle yourselves, there's no reason why self-policing can't keep the forum running smoothly. I'll intervene only if someone tries to physically wreck the forum. Don't come crying to me because someone called you names, or because you want someone banned. Use whatever resources you have inside the forum and out to settle your own disputes. I'm not your mother, and I'm not holding your hand through this. I don't promise a safe, happy forum where everyone gets along. In fact, I expect the exact opposite. Grow a spine, or find some other forum more conducive to your sensitivies.

None! All genres that are in existence, well, they already exist, so making that genre would not be original. You need to make your own genre.

new genres are cool and all.. but most anything you make up probably falls into another pre-existing genre.. or is at least closely related to it..

What you need to do really... is reinvent music itself. =]

Create some radical new instrument.. or maybe screw with theory or something.. something completely off the wall that people have never heard before.

Hmm... Bluegrass DnB is something I've never heard before. Though that's not reinventing music, rather combining two genres... It would take creation of a new method of music synthesis. SO NEW INSTRUMENTS GO

I think that anti-conventionalism may fall under Avant-Garde.

because it's a badass idea.

Or yet another idea.. create a new thing through completely original synthesis by using styles, instruments, and musical theory from other cultures and time-periods

I'd say that... but more likely... I'd say it's METAL...

or start screaming...

(depends on how you do it... if it is that amazing... that it makes my ears bleed.. then option #1.. If it is bad mastering and violently explodes my eardrum.. then probably option #2)

It'd probably stun you due to the horror of being completely ghastly sounding, that when you're stunned, I'll find out where you live, and cut your ears personally.

Well... assuming that you do indeed live in Australia... I wish you the best of luck considering it is quite a ways to the US.. =P

I might attempt it at some point though. I collect instruments as if they were going out of style.. so eventually here I'll probably start sampling and see what kind of crazy fusions I can get going.. hell.. I already made a drum track out of kitchenware a while ago.. (It's actually the first song I uploaded)

Nonsense, I'll just walk! It's only 30 cm away on the map.

Well, look what I made because of all the nonsense!

I could probably do a lot better in terms of butt ugly experimental songs, but I did this instead. =P

I know about that, but I want a readable article or something rather than a huge confusing net of genres, each with their own history
