You would probly either be a junior or senior (junior = 11 grade, Senior = 12th grade and last year of high school).

8th grade, it's wierd though I took this pre-kindergarden thing when I was little, so I started school a year late, and now i'm a year older then everyone.

For all non-US people
K = Kindergarten
1st-6th = Elementary, or Grade School
7th-8th = Jr. High. Or sometimes combined with Grade School
9th- 12th = High School.
Most people refer to high school years as:
9th = Freshman
10th = Sophomore
11th = Junior
12th = Senior
End of Government required education
Then into collage following the same labels (freshman etc.)

I am halfway through Grade 11.
I would be a Junior if I lived in the states. I guess where my school is, it's not really as complicated as most areas of the Us. It's like, grade 1 or 2 (can't remember) until 7th grade is elementary, then from 8th to 12th is high school. I find it works.
