Our advanced search options are handy for searching by song permissions and song length. For example here is music between 1:30-1:40 in length that has a CC license allowing commercial use.
There are also artists who don't choose a CC license allowing commercial use but do check our exception box for stuff that is ok to use in web-based movies and games. You can also set date ranges to only browse more recent music, as well as browsing by genres and tags.

Reminds of the Geometry Dash thing a few years back too hmm... and there doesn't seem to be any that rival the fanbases back in the early days... which I suppose I was a part of then. IMO best just appreciate each wave for what it's worth. A lot of good users joining in too, getting introduced to NG lore overtime, realizing there's more to this place than FNF, honing their creative skills, growing and evolving and with time possibly becoming next gen favorites; long-term contributors and fans...
We really all start out with a very limited view of what this place is.

I mean I wouldn't mind that but.... The whole appeal of Newgrounds is that it is it's own thing and doesn't rely on corporate meddling. Newgrounds is crowdfunded so it doesn't rely on a Network to regulate the site and put restrictions on what's acceptable and what isn't. But that's just my opinion.

Could be both though no? Keep being independent and awesome as it is, but still have something on the side sponsored by corporate media. Extra exposure/channels you wouldn't otherwise reach. Of course no compromises on the site itself.
I don't suppose it'd really happen but would've been a cool spin-off venture IMO.

There actually pretty tame compared to a lot of other fandoms on the internet & last time I checked the Eddsworld fandom is way worse than the FNF fanbase, they literally cause one of the cast members to leave & very early on might I add. But with every popular thing, there are fans both good & bad & really it's your opinion. Not trying to cause strife with you just stating my opinion too. :)
