Today we're pleased to announce that @BrenTheMan has developed a new NG Chat!

It gets tough to avoid navbar overkill... In the new layout we might introduce the ability to customize your navbar buttons, so people could have stuff like "Classic Portal" and "Chat" as defaults in the main nav.

Edit: Say, @TomFulp , just curious...you were talking a while back about using a multiplayer API for the chat, right? Is that what this is? Does that mean the NG API will be getting some sort of multiplayer features soon-ish?

It gets tough to avoid navbar overkill... In the new layout we might introduce the ability to customize your navbar buttons, so people could have stuff like "Classic Portal" and "Chat" as defaults in the main nav.

Sounds pretty cool as a concept. Can't wait to see it. :D

As much as i'd love to see this happen but i think Tom should wait a bit more until he's got a good stable income that can keep the site and everything else alive from the ADs and supporters before re-opening the store.

One thing from the days when the NG Store was still around that could return is the Mystery Boxes. Mystery Boxes seem to be easier to bring back than the NG Store since you can pretty much put anything in them and no one except the person who made 'em would know what's in them until you open it.

Of 29 users, data from their profiles told us the following tidbits:

Chat age ranged from 14-38.

The median age was 23.

More users were 23 than any other age (Five total. Four were 26.)

Two users identified as female, all others who provided their gender identified as male.

The average age for all users was 23.69.
