all the consoles are sh*t nowadays

It seems a better option for now - seeing as nothing of note is out on next gen consoles. I'm switching to PC but it's expensive. I'm spending £100 more just building a PC that's not actually as powerful as the consoles. Then again, as a gamer, I can't stick with a laptop.

In other words, it's just another PC elitist spewing garbage that most people don't care about. Most people who have consoles have little interest in PC gaming to begin with and the so-called benefits of PC gaming is for the most part, small and arbitrary. Why do you Steam is trying to expand into consoles and even on smart TVs, even though that is generally a stupid idea, lest to appease the spineless blobs of Valve worshippers who don't want to play on the PC because of the cost?

Why is it so hard for cunts like this to realise that most people who play video games have access to both a PC and a console? It's not like there's a limit to one piece of electronic entertainment per household, for fuck's sake.

And yeah, most of the things cited as reasons why PC's are better are restricted to things only stereotypical uber-nerds hold dear in the absence of a social life anyway. I'm only interested in one thing: How much fun can I have with it? If I spend all my time looking at update screens, syncing screens and loading screens, only to have the game randomly slowed down by background programs, I'm not likely to have as much fun as what I can get out of a simpler system, so where exactly is the real-world drawback?

Oh, and: "Free multiplayer"? lmfao. Mommy and Daddy still paying for your internet connection?

You can't be a master race and own only one gaming platform. You're just a brand loyalist. To truly be a master race you need a handheld, a console, and a PC. That way you can have access to console/handheld games without the need to sign any petitions. 360 and PS3 has plenty of support so it's not like you have to take a crapshoot with the 8th gen.

Consoles are popular for a reason. PC is not the glorious mater race.

Anyway, when Yahtzee said that it was a joke but it is kind of funny how right he ended up being because PC can do a lot more than consoles. EXCEPT for Local Multiplayer which is why Nintendo hasn't until recently lost their way on that regard. But yeah, Consoles serve a purpose, but PC is still the best.

Notice I said "cunts like this"? I was referring to the people that actually do take this whole PC crap seriously, not necessarily the OP (as it's plainly not meant to be anything more than another random brain-fart).
The only thing that I found beyond stupid was the 'free multiplayer' bit. There is no such thing as completely free multiplayer video gaming, outside of having friends round to all play on the same PC / console / whatever. Even if the game itself charges nothing for a multiplayer server, you still have to have an internet connection to use it, which costs money to keep.

Because people are lazy and like prebuilt things. You could easily build a PC just as good (if not better) than a console, things are even colour coded for you now.. building a PC isn't as hard as it was before.

I'd take Wasteland 2, Divinity: OS, Pillars of Eternity, Elite: Dangerous or Civilization: Beyond Earth over any console titles from this year, AAA or otherwise.

Well, I say "console", I mean "Xbox and Playstation", because the Wii U is solid as fuck, and Mario Kart 8 is probably the best game I've played this year. Probably the best game of the generation so far.

I just love how the PC defenders point towards some of the most subjective things such as graphics, (I guess it only matters if it on the PC) being indie-friendly, (so is every other console, oddly enough) and "free" multiplayer. (which really isn't free)

Frankly, I just see more and more lazy justifications for the PCMR to go to against consoles, never mind their apparent hypocrisy of having a console at the ready on their TV. If anything, it's kind of sad that the Wii U has more non-first party quality games than the PC has right now, (that aren't on other consoles) and the Wii U's lineup mostly sucks. I don't mind folks who play games on the PC, but don't try to pump arbitrary sunshine up our ass, the joke stopped being funny the after the second time.
