Jesus, I really haven't been watching a lot of movies lately. The most recent movie I saw was 22 Jump Street which was just a big 'ol waste of money.

Sabotage. Best of Arnold's starring roles since his comeback.

Sabotage. Was p good, Arnie's only legitimately decent performance
I most recently saw Lucy in the theaters, great film.
Then a few days ago I re-watched "Know Thy Enemy" because I forgot i bought it years ago when Blockbuster was going out of business
Are you not Entertained ?!?
this would probably do better in the cinema club thread but oh well, as long there's some discussion
watched 4 christopher guest and co. mockumentaries over the week
waiting for guffman
this is spinal tap
best in show
a mighty wind
all of these had been recommended to me for years and i finally got around to seeing them. all of them, except spinal tap, sort of follow a rigid structure of "introduce characters, get them in the same room for a lowbrow event, rehearse, have a few inconveniences come up, sort through them, show must go on, show is a success, show what happens to the characters 6 months later" that gets repetitive after a while. most of the actors tend to play the same characters over and over again but that doesn't mean they don't work great together and you can see what a good time everyone is having.
it's funny how a few low-budget comedies with the same ensemble, improv-heavy casts and heartfelt piss-taking out of local events like community theater, folk music, dog shows can be more fun to watch than most of the comedies that get released today but if these guys made them this successful, then there are probably inevitable imitators somewhere and i'm glad i don't any of them.
When ever you feel powerless, just remember this.
A single one of your pubes can shut down an entire restaurant. - Conal / MOTW: O Lucky Man!
My dad got Robin Williams' entire filmography because I guess that's how he grieves so today I watched Good Morning Vietnam and felt feelings.
You look nice today.
This guy brutally sodomizes me.

If you mean going to the cinema, Wall-E.
If not then it was either Rise of the Planet of the Apes or Battle for the Planet of the Apes.

Really, you went to a screening for Wall-E? Neat! I didn't realize they still did showings of that, it's probably my favorite Pixar movie, along with Up.

Oh jeez. Wow.
I thought I was bad about going to the theater. Then again, it's bad how few in theater movies I see because of the fact that I'm in the business.

I did try to go to the cinema back in 2012 to watch Ted but there was a huge line and i ended up looking for a video game instead. I've never been much of a cinema guy, i can probably count the movies i've seen in the cinema with one hand; i went with my class to watch Lilo and Stitch back in 2002, then i went to watch Spider-man 2 in 2004, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest in 2006, Garfield 2 in 2006 also, Mr Bean's Holiday in 2007 and Wall-E in 2008 like i said earlier.

You a filmmaker? I thought you were a photographer.

I dabble in both. Trained as a filmmaker, self-taught in photography. I do a lot of set photography when I can.
A couple days ago I rewatched every Wes Anderson movie. The Life Aquatic and Darjeeling Limited are my favorites.
Last week watched 'Into the Storm'. Though the film did not gather much critical acclaim, it made for a gripping watch,

The last movie that I went to the theatres was Godzilla.
