Does anyone know what minimum wage in New brunswick is, I know Im probably the only one here from NB and Im aware that there was a convo on minimum wage some time ago but its changing in Jan here (i think) and I cant get a straight answer from google...

Well it's tricky, we've got 3Taxes....
First is the income taxe so if your paid the minimum wadge I assume your in a low bracket so I'll say that everything that is on top of 10k will be taxable at 38.3%. What's for the other 2... it only paid on the product there's the TPS 7% and the 3nd one... the third one change in every province. In Quebec it's 7.5% and it's paid on top of the TPS (witch suck!!!)

Well with all those %'s none of them are 5% or under 5%.. so the american min wage, and more importantly Maine, which has one of the lowest min wages you'd be taking home more money than u would in Canada. heck in Mass US its understood the min wage is close to $9.

it's a fact that we all Quebekers know... in USA for the same job the same guy will get after all the taxe 60% more money in his pocket than in Quebec. The only good point that we have is the free service like hospital, school and everything. But not only a the guy who got 100,000$ after taxe here would get 160,000$ after taxe in USA but... the guy in U.S is paid in US dollar versus the Quebecker who's paid in CAN dollar.

The minimum wage in Alberta is actually 6.50, it just changed recently. Plus we only have the GST, not PST like everywhere else.
