Trailer

They are making a movie out of the book of the same title. Has anyone else read the book and is looking forward to seeing it?

I'm just hoping they don't water it down too much and turn it into just a regular coming of age movie, which the book certainly was not.

Um Ive known about this for years. I was actually kind of excited when I first got the news. As more and more i.fo came I got less excited. I cant even read the book again because it just had an impact on me. It was the perfect time in my life for it. So I dont know if I want to see the movie either. It is usually troubling to see a film done with only one person's interperetation when everyone who reads a book sees in in their head in their own way.

I highly recommend the book. It is brutally honest and quite moving. It deals with some very dark themes.

You know they are releasing the book with a picture of the actors on the cover now. Hate when they do that.

Oh... No... This trailer looks awful. I found the book to feel very natural, but it looks like the movie is going to be sensationalized and overproduced like everything made in the past decade or so. Not that The Perks of Being a Wallflower was my favorite book, but this film has already gone sour and it hasn't come out yet.

Hollywood better not ruin the book with another crappy film.

he was so autistic he didn't know he was being molested.

I'm not sure if he was autistic. It would have certainly been clear if he was since he was seeing a psychiatrist and yet it was never mentioned.
