Why Don't Europeans Immigrate

According to this, most of the immigrants to the US are from Mexico, China, the Philippines, and then many others from India, Vietnam, Cuba, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Canada, and South Korea. Not one country on the Top 10 list of sources of immigration to the U.S. is a European country, despite the fact that the majority of the U.S. being people of European descent (white people). It is very very seldom I ever meet a person born in Europe who now resides in America. There are plenty of European tourists in major cities in the US, but very few actually move here. My mom is an immigrant, and she is not European, and it just makes me think... do the Europeans come here and not want to actually live here? Do Europeans just strictly like visiting here?

So I'm just wondering... why don't the Europeans move to the America very much anymore? Many British people move to Australia and New Zealand though..

Most Europeans see the USA as an inferior place where everyone shoots eachother and you have to pay your hospital bills.
I have to agree that Europe is better to be honest, but its not like the USA is bad.

I'll agree it's like that in a lot of places. When many Europeans do come to move to America, if any, it's usually in urban areas, like NYC or LA and work in the movie/entertainment industry and enjoy a somewhat luxurious life, and only the rich Europeans do these kind of things. I don't think the average European person has much interest in living in American suburbia or countryside.

Gaining American citizenship isn't quite the easiest thing. I imagine that's a contributing factor.

Europeans don't want to move here because their own countries are great and of high quality. So we get tons of immigrants from countries that suck.

China and Korea suck? Well China has some sucky political factors, and the air quality there is bad, but Shanghai is a really cool place to live and the economy is booming there and the education system there is great. South Korea is a great country as well. There are many Korean immigrants in certain parts of the US.

But as far Mexicans, I'd agree Mexico is a sucky country but I like some aspects of the Mexican culture. The country, however, is very impoverished.

There seems to be mostly non European immigration to the US these days.I think that Europeans have mostly settled into stable socio economic lives in their own respective countries.Since European standards of living are virtually the same in the US the average family from Germany or France has no real reason to move here.Single affluent Europeans though seem to want to come here like somebody else mentioned because they have the money and social networking skills to simply begin anew here and increase their investments here.They may even maintain another lifestyle in their home European countries while at the same time simultaneously creating burgeoning careers here in major financial and cultural hubs like LA and NYC.

Also, let's say they wanted to visit their families back in Europe. You have to use a plane right?
...I wouldn't exactly want to use the TSA's airports. So I'd have to drive to Canada if I ever wanted to visit a place like say, Italy.

And plus there's the health care thing.

I don't know about Europolitics vs. Ameripolitics, so I can't exactly decide if our politics are also fucked as well

I love living here though, every country has a fair share of problems and this country's just more familiar to me.

Europe's quality of life is basically on our level. I don't see that changing anytime soon especially with coronavirus.
