Pre-2007 Level Formula

I know this is a massive long shot, but does anyone have the formula for level calculations using the original level system (I can't remember whether it would tell you your level or exp requirement for a certain level)? IIRC Newgrundling published it many moons ago but his posts from that time have gone the way of the dodo. I'm trying to determine what level I would be if the system was never reprogrammed and upgraded to 60 levels so I can use that icon for my user icon. That way I can retain the light aura I've carried my entire NG history. ^______^

I remember seeing a news post from someone who had calculated the modern day requirements of each level for that system but I can't recall their username. Hopefully someone will have it, I've already tried Google briefly. Trawling thousands of posts for it is far too daunting a task.

Please do, I may need the pre-2007 formula to determine EXP requirements for the classic levels at some point. Last time I checked this I was at level 20. Should still be there considering the excessively slow progress of levelling up at this point.

I would've only been level 20 at this point, close to 21.

Bring it back. Make Pimp work for level 60. Scale the levels after that. Call me elitist but I don't wanna see hundreds of golden leveled users in a couple years time. I'd much rather see a community with a balanced spread of diversity in the levels. Besides, how're you gonna keep achievement whores happy when they've already achieved it all? The crawling pace of the rank race doesn't satisfy everyone...

at the same time... how are users like myself ever going to reach some of the higher levels?... even with 100% deposit rate

The mother of all mistakes.

I had last updated it in October 2009 or something, so it sank to the bottom of my news blog. I didn't think people would still care that much, since most of the old guard has left by now.

I'd also hate to see dozens of level 60 users. However, even if you would choose to spread levels 7-60, the experience gap would still be pretty big (about 820 atm). From the point where we are it would again take ages to gain a level.

Hmm I could perhaps make a gadget like that.

Though the numbers actually depends on the amount of experience points the highest ranked user has (that'd be Pimp at the moment). So you'd have to pull that number somehow rather than adding 10 exp to level 30 everyday. Otherwise it would be off if Pimp forgets to deposit.
