Sign up dates don't mean much. No matter how old or new your account is, everybody should get some respect. The people who go out of their way to be helpful and courteous to others on the site are going probably foing to receive more respect from others. The ones that go to flash submissions and place a one word response however, will not. Users will likely get annoyed by that kind of user and they will not respect them nearly as much.
