As dramatic John Williams-esque video game music goes, I would say my highest recommendations are Dance of Illusions from the Castlevania series and The Last 300 Seconds and March of the Demon Lord from Half-Minute Hero.
As far as anything else dramatic, Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima by Penderecki, Temptation by Fleshgod Apocalypse, the song from the subway fight in The Matrix, Scorpion Flower by Moonspell, Tension 1 from the Final Fantasy Tactics soundtrack, and pretty much anything instrumental by Apocalyptica.
If I offer to help you in a post, PM me to get it. I often forget to revisit threads.
